I think it's probably a Grade 2 sprain, with a partial tear of a ligament. He might be out for 4 to 8 weeks.

 

If it’s week to week it’s probably a Grade I nearing Grade II . 2-5 weeks I’d guess. Bamba time.

 

....ankle sprain lol I thought he snapped his ankle in two with the way he reacted.

 

So, how much would you give up for Bamba?

Has to be a Grade II - maybe they don't know how severe at this point(?). I think if it were mild or severe, we would have gotten a more clear-cut answer. 3-5 weeks is best estimate for a Grade II sprain.

 

No but I've pizza-ed it.

 

I'm glad long term he is not hurt but he is going to be out multiple weeks, could miss a 1/4 of the season.

Im shocked that its a real MD reporting the injury rather than a coach or management

 

I would give up the Wizards or the Pistons pick. Possibly a little more.

I have watched a lot of Bamba the last few weeks and can see why he doesn’t get more playing time.

He really doesn’t handle contact well offensively or defensively. However on defense there are things he can do to counteract that.

 

Better than whole season, bright side.

 

This probably nixes his chances of making the all-star team, but who knows if they even hold the game. Looks like a lot of players are grumbling about it, which they should be.

I hope Wood can come back and still make a strong push for MIP. It would be a shame if he doesn't get any official recognition for how well he's been able to play as a full-fledged starter this season.
