Wood wants the all-star contract so he'll work his ass off for it. Great news for us.

Wood was on par for 30+ points this game.

Harden Wood Tucker House Wall Starting 5
    Cousins Wall Gordon 2nd unit

seems like that is pretty good to me. If you could upgrade House's position I suppose with Gordon but I would rather have him play with Wall and Cousins. Would be a really good team.

Then again I have no idea if that would be the rotation.

    Silas seems to be stupid.

He thinks Nwaba is just another guy and that Gordon next to Harden/Wood/Wall makes any sense at all.

Silas ain’t no damn scout that’s for sure. Or not a good one. Might just be an X’s and O’s guy with a decent personality.

yah gordon likes to normally take a few dribbles and those are rare with wall and harden on the court. but off the bench with wall in the game he doesn't have to dribble and create every play and can do it intermittently or in spurts. He really does not make sense starting to me.

I would actually start Tate over House.

Give it some time. Tate very well may take that spot. I like his style of play. He could grow a lot being next to a guy like Harden.

Everyone needs to calm down and stop overrating Rocket players. It's just preseason. Let's see what he does in the regular season before y'all crown him. He's a solid player but get a grip

Spurs announcers were effusive in their praise of Wood. Garnett was the comp they threw out there.

To me, the closest thing I can think of is Amare. Good shot, not as good as Porzingis, but great handles for his size; when he catches it on the perimeter against a big man that's an automatic dribble drive and easy lay-in. Passing ability is above average, and he fits seamlessly into a motion offense. His defense is above average, better than advertised. Again, very good size, great length. I can't see him getting bullied around much by bigger centers, although boxing out and defensive rebounding will be not as good as other bigs with more junk in the trunk.

There is not a negative to his game. I'm sold; he's an all-star in the next three years if he stays healthy.

Disagree about the rebounding part. did you see how long this guy is? Also, he grabbed a ton of boards today - didn't look up how many

Tiers. Actual tiers above Amare as a defender.

But really he’s closer to Towns or AD in terms of skill set than Amare. Way better handle than Amare ever had.

He’s actually not even close to maxing his potential. He should be getting touches as an on-ball creator to develop a feel for how he’s guarded in that role.

He could become a great playmaking creator on top of all this. He’s way ahead of a guy like Simmons or Siakam imo.

    Crazy potential for MLE.

He is going to be right on par, if not better than Porzingis come Allstar break.

We are about to have two guys that will routinely have more-points-than-minutes efficiency.

    Oh wait.
