I gotta say, I really don't understand the Mavs' offseason. By far, their biggest need is another offensive creator to take the load off of Luka. So...they trade a first for an offensive center just to make him a 6th man, sign a defensive center, and let their #2 playmaker walk for nothing.
Reminds me of Harden's end with OKC. OKC got something, but OKC made other choices that left no money for Harden. Mavericks did the same thing except they weren't able to salvage any value.
Mavs definitely gonna have buyer's remorse there I think. Unless Wood's had a complete personality switch, his ego last year and the way he checked out every time it didn't all revolve around him was very telling...
Christian Wood isn’t even a starter on a decently talented playoff team, yet we had people thinking he was worth a max deal or would be offered a max deal by someone (some of these people are also KPJ stans trying to tell us what KPJ is worth ) people also shocked he wasn’t dealt for multiple 1st round picks like we weren’t offering teams the equivalent of 5 day leftovers will be amusing to see how long he will tolerate a bench role
Dude used to check out if he didn't get all the touches as a starter, no way he's going to play nice coming off the bench, his attitude's been **** forever at this point.
This thread should be relabeled Christian Wood vs. TyTy Washington Jr. See who contributes the most to the TEAM play throughout the year. I'm already leaning TyTy and he's just a Rookie.
I am glad Wood is gone, but I can't get over the fact that he didn't ever accept his role in Houston, and thought he was the number 1 option, that to me shows that Silas didn't communicate it directly or more important DEMAND it....and is probably the number 1 reason i don't think Silas is the guy. His entire JOB is to set expectations for the team, and clearly, he didn't do it. DD
I love their offseason. Please keep screwing it up around Luka until he demands to be reunited with Silas.
