if Harden didn’t want out, we had kept Covington and traded Russ for something decent, I’d be feeling so good

    guard
    Harden
    Covington
    PJ
    Wood

Any other moves we can make or we stuck with minimum players to fill out the rest of the roster?

That’s terrible, but I think Joe Harris’s deal is easily the worst of the night.

imo getting rid of ego unless they got back someone like fournier, harris, reddick or some wing that can shoot etc would not improve the team.

Wouldn't be surprised however if they salary dumped gordon, especially if reports about rockets being resigned to trade harden is true.

Gordon/westbrook stock is at an extreme low atm, imo the best course is to keep them and let them rebuild their value.
Harrell was only cheap for the lakers. They got two discounts the rockets don't have. Championship discount and hollywood discount.

If Bobby Marks’ tweet is accurate, the remaining roster spots will be filled by minimum-salary players. The Rockets would have to unload a contract like Gordon or Westbrook for cap space to use their MLE, too.

3/41 is a great deal for a talent like Wood...we were paying Capela like 16 mil/yr, and Wood is far more skilled and talented

The TPE had to be used to sign Wood.

Rockets are hard capped now unless they send salary out in another trade.

Everyone got overpaid but 18M back then is like 30M today. Anderson got more than Gordon which is crazy for a dude who never been an all star, missed games to injury and has been a role player his entire career.

They are gonna send Gordon out for LTS. If not now then at the trade deadline. It is inevitable.

wood is much longer both on lobs and defensively, and i'd argue a better ballhandler as well especially on the break

they're both good finishers, but wood can finish in a variety of ways not w/ just the power moves -- he's basically the perfect big man compliment to harden

wood also gives you reliable 3pt shooting

his passing is whack though, not just the numbers but his actual passes are oft-inaccurate

and as a post defender he's gonna get mauled often

overall i still prefer him over harrell, and i'm a big harrell fan. i was actually pissed when we didn't keep wood a few years ago, his talent was obvious in SL

They used the MLE on Wood.

Now they're going to use the TPE.

The only way that works if if PJ or EG go out. That would be a massive downgrade. Roco, PJ or EG for Wood

Capela with three point range seems pretty good just by itself, right?

I’m taking Wood over Harrel 20 times outta 10

Harrell is what he is at this point, and that is just a high energy big...Wood’s 3 point shooting ability is huge

Can we flip Russ for Wall and Bryant straight up, using the Trade Exception? I'd be all over that, to be honest.

If we could wrangle a first out of it, it's icing on the cake.

Yes, Christian wood is what will make him stay. Not $50 mil/year, Christian Wood is the answer Harden was looking for.

catching up on some of these deals that have been handed out, and the Joe Harris, Marcus Morris, and Jerami Grant deals are gross
