What are the other differences? The only difference you have specified is the size. I assume you know what "myriad" means.
Aah. Somebody who finally gets it. Bravo, DD! Treat all terrorists the same. Once you start qualifying terrorism and terrorists, you undermine the efforts to combat terrorism.
Here is some trivia for you: the word "fundamentalist" was coined in the early 1900s to described Christian movements in America. Thereafter, it was used to describe the more radical elements of various religious groups. Terrorism is terrorism, I don't care how it's carried out or what group carries it out, the victims rarely differentiate between the methods used, they just know that the final result is the same. However, I object to the use of the term 'Christian' terrorists, for I don't believe that true Christians would carry out such attacks meant to inflict unjustified harm upon innocents.
Some obviously do. Rudolph and Nichols did not happen in a vacuum. The *real* question is not about supporting but about tolerating.
Are you also opposed to the term "Muslim Terrorists"? I know a moderate amount about Islam, and I do not believe that true Muslims would carry out such attacks either. Religious fundimentalism is dangerous, no matter what the religion is.
There is a healthy number of "fundamentalist" leaders and public figures and politicians who spew hatred and incite violence over our airwaves. There is certainly support for bigotry and incitement in this country, you are just ignoring them because they don't concern you nor do they offend you, apparently.
All terrorists have a special place waiting for them in Hell. Just go straight down to The Hot Place, left on Nether Reaches Blvd, Pit 6. You can't miss it.
I think the terms "Muslim" or "Christian" or "Jewish" terrorists are often repeated out of ignorance, since they are assumed to refer to something people are generally familiar with; in other words they are used as catchy phrases and words that the general public (which is largely ignorant anywhere in the world, not just in the US or the West) tends to understand and identify with. However, these are common terms that are used on regular basis, so they are quiet common, and I guess in that sense there is no point of challenging them anymore. There are secular terrorists too, you know, like the ELF or some of those environmentalist groups. It will only be fair once I start hearing the following words uttered by my local news anchor: "A fundamentalist environmentalist group today claimed responsibility for the mass damage they caused by fire-bombing a Hummer parked in front of a residential house, luckily no one was injured, although the fire quickly spread to the house and burned it down. President Bush promised swift retaliation for the attacks, and decided to retaliate...by invading Mexico "
why dont you just state what you are talking about rather than forcing me to guess like i am talking to my girlfriend or something.
man i really need to send my money to clutch....to clarify.... tell me how the religious right is organized to terrorize people like al-queda is.
