A heart transplant can't even teach Hardhead how to have heart.

I do, and anyone with sense will too

if Morey ever made a trade that dumb, he should get fired on the spot...Wall is 1 of the few guys with a contract worse than CP0’s...

John Wall is a PG that relies heavily on athleticism who tore his Achilles

Has Chicago lost their minds. Laurie is going to be a monster no way they were trading him

I agree, btw - that post was more than a little tongue in cheek, directed at all the posters here who think Morey can somehow trade CP3 for young, talented players on inexpensive contracts.

It would be a great trade for us. It's probably too good to be true.

You'll get no disagreement from me there …. I like the idea of moving CP3 , assuming we get the right type of players / cap space / flexibility in return.

    Not just to do it.

They equate to two useful players and about $7.5m in cap space to spend before you use the MLE & BAE …

    Too bad this didn't happen.

Lauri can be a star, he is a physically strong Small Forward, Power Forward, excellent shooter from 3.

At least Morey is targeting the right player in Lauri, Kris Dunn not sure about.

Aaron Gordon is the player I am hoping the Rockets get.

I'd do either of those trades in a heart beat. Can't see why the Bulls or the Suns would do it though.

I'd love this but I'd imagine Memphis would say no. Memphis is trading Conley because he's old and doesn't fit the direction they're going. Why trade him for a guy who is older and on a bigger and longer contract?

Ok I looked up the contracts. No way the Teague one happens either. Teague's on the hook for $19M for one more season - they're not going to give you a good player on an expiring contract to take on Paul's contract. Covington's contract is longer, but he's a recent All-Defensive team guy and good three point shooter for $12M. Nobody gives up that kind of player easily.

yes. they can. Once a team's season ends, players can be traded. It's a weird nuance, I wasn't aware of, but did some reading into the CBA. It's based on last seasons salary cap and that's a reason why this was rumored to be two weeks from now as that is when Chicago will have cap space. Now it would take Porter to make the salary work.

Yup, that contract might be the worst of all time haha
