The good old racist tells you that your relevant abilities don't count and pillories you because of your skin colour. The liberal intelligentsia also tells you that your qualifications don't count but instead affirms you for your skin colour. Both sides are full of **** and can **** right off. If true, CP3 is a massive douche and a racist; very disappointing.
Could range from something as innocent as wanting to have a coach he can relate to more to something deeper seated like not comfortable being yelled at and told what to do by a white guy. Bein a Filipino, if I was in the NBA and was a superstar being offered a choice, I wouldn't feel bad requesting Spoelstra to be my coach, and it would have nothing to do with disliking white/blacks, just preferring the familiar.

I didn't see a quote in the article from Chris Paul. We don't know what he said, if anything, that gave someone this impression.
