Where did he say it? There is a difference between saying i only want a black coach and saying i want nate mcmimilan.
Wonder what people would have said if a Kevin Love asked for a white coach if Minny had a black coach...
I know, Chris Paul needs to be criticized for this racist comment. Racist by definition is the belief of a race being superior to another, this is basically what he's saying is that a black coach is better. Out right ridiculous.
Why is everyone accepting this like its gospel? This is the NY Daily news. Not the NY Times and certainly not the LA Times. How do they know whats going on in CP3's head? This is a non-story to me.

Doesn't matter if it's true or not. It is out there and there are people who wait for crap like this to come out.
Dirk's wife is of Kenyan descent. In other words she is black. He could say it all he wants but he ain't bout that life lol.
If CP3 said that he wants to play for a Black coach, then that's inexcusable. The NBA is not as entrenched as, say, the NFL is as an old white men's club, so there's absolutely no reason for taking race into account when hiring coaches. But you can't equate it with a white player saying that he prefers a white coach because the history of coaching in American professional sports has almost always been discrimination by whites against blacks, not the other way around. Even to this day, more whites than blacks have power in choosing personnel in professional sports. In other words, anti-black discrimination has more ramifications than anti-white discrimination. So let's not go screaming "Black Privilege!" all of a sudden. If CP3 did say this, then he has very questionable character. What's next, Blake Griffin is too white to be his sidekick?
