It’s actually a great deal. They can still be a contendor for another year or two with the rest of their core who weren’t going anywhere. and it’s much easier to reset after that. Getting rid of Poole’s salary years down the road is a blessing for them
Poole stunk it up. He was horrendous this year and being checked by draymond was probably a big part of it. He was never the same after that. Poole isn’t a future star. He is a overpaid rotational player who can’t play defense. Good riddance of that trash contract
I don't know about anyone else, but I liked having CP3 on the Rockets and hated that he was traded. I think it was a very stupid move and could care less whether he got along with Harden or not. They are both professionals. Beating Golden State played a big part in bringing him to Houston and an ill timed injury very likely prevented a 3rd championship. I shrugged when he ended up with the Suns, but it bothers me that now he's playing for The Enemy. Hey, none of that has to make any sense, but it's how I feel about it.
Seriously meh... maybe through stretches of the regular season. The Warriors more than anything looked small, old and slow when they lost all those games on the road this year. CP3 makes all of that worse and probably plays a lot less games than Poole, with basically none in the playoffs probably. I guess they gave up on Poole ever getting his head right with them now, but at least he had young legs. And those of y'all assuming this means Draymond re-signs with them? I'm honestly not so sure. But it makes signing him even more desperate b/c they used a worthwhile trade asset ... to get smaller.
I'm doing fine. thanks for asking. Rockets not in contention so this means nothing to me. It's interesting, but I don't really care; I have no real thoughts. As long as Harden is not a Rocket, I'm good.
I know they're kinda kidding, but I can't wait to see him away from Gloomy Kerr and the "splash" (sic) brothers.
How come now cp3 is being pass around like a used napkin and we got trade r2pe trying to get rid of him
Why? If GS either didn't want to bring Green back or thought that he might go elsewhere, what would their first move be? Green has been their primary facilitator so most likely they'd go get someone to run the offense. I don't think that you can deduce anything by CP3 going to the Warriors.
Poole managed 21ppg when sharing the ball. 25+ this year? (Still no defence and sub par percentages of course) Wiz fans will start convincing themselves he is as good as Beal.
They’re keeping him per reports. And no idea where you’re getting 100 mil from. He has 2 years left on his deal and next year is non guaranteed. Theyre saving way more by getting rid of Poole
