Honestly, what are you babbling about?? Height?? Rim protection?? We gave up none of that, and we only gave up ROLE PLAYERS. There's NOTHING you don't do to get a player of Chris Paul's caliber. He's analytically perhaps the GREATEST PnR point guard to ever play, and he's a bulldog on defense. It's a great day to be a Rockets fan, period.
Bev had a breakout year due to him being virtually injury free, actually playing games in the playoffs, and was well rewarded by being on the defensive 1st team. Last season was unfortunately his ceiling with the Rockets and they needed to trade him while he was extremely hot. I don't like losing him but to get Paul I am very happy. Now if we can get Paul George in place of Anderson then the tables are set. Imagine if we got Paul George and LeBron James somehow. We'd have Paul George and Chris Paul as well as James Harden and Lebron James. What a confusing season that would be. Paul passes to James who dishes it to James... 3 pointer...... no good. James with the rebound passes it to Paul who dishes it to Paul underneath for the slam.
Did we have to give up Harrell in this deal? I hope not. I want to see that guy beast in the Paul / Harden pick and rolls.
The Jazz had the chance to take Pat but they acted like they're used to, didn't drop the goods...results = bye bye Hayward.
Its a good trade. Paul thou probably not super star level anymore, but will still be near allstar level for sure.
Yup sucks for them. They've spent what 5 years rebuilding, all that development work, a great run turning into a top defensive team. Could all be gone now. Oh well.
Everyone hating on Ryan Anderson is dumb. Harden needs a stretch big at the four or the five to put up mvp numbers. Whenever the Rockets are without a stretch big or when Ryan Anderson was off last year harden struggled This goes all the way back to the year we got him
We need all the stars we can get, and yes, pg was a position of need, unless you want to see Harden run to ground at the end of each loss ass season. The Rockets are far from finishing all the moves. The roster will round up nicely. Just be patient.
****! We lost a LOT of good pieces for 1. How in the hell did he HAVE to give up Harrell?? They just had to have him or did Morey get Morey'd? That trade seems excessive as hell. Really starting not to like it.
