I must have missed the memo that the series is now over because CP3 is out for game 6. Man up and have some faith.
Make him questionable and call it a day. But then tomorrow us at cfans would be killing servers finding out information
No point in bluffing this now. It'll just show that we're scared of the warriors. We want to remain confident at this point. Everyone is going to find out one way or another. If we say its a gametime decision, they'll find out CP3 never got on the plane, which makes the rockets look weak for lying. not worth it at all
rockets are being tight lipped about the severity. theres 3 days til monday so alot can happen as far as his treatment and how he feels. now that hes ruled out, they can focus on the actual gameplan to win tomorrow not questioning if cp3 is going to play or not
Feels so unreal. Just 1 game away from the Finals and the Basketball Gods decide to give us the short end. On the other hand, this would have been more painful if we were in the Finals, 1 game away from the title and this happened.
Exactly this. Everybody needs to step up. All players available should be ready to come in, play hard-nosed defense and hit some shots. Lets bring this home for CP3.
harden gonna have to have the game of his life if we wanna win in oracle again in an elimination game. i feel like he has to be due after being so bad offensively for the past 6 quarters. no way he goes 0-11 from 3 with 6 turnovers again. also need eric and everybody else to give him help as well.
He's wore out there's no guarantee he's going to show up. We may see the same James Harden from last night
Rockets losing CP3 (at least for game 6) is a deflating but the Rockets just battled to a 3-2 commanding lead in this series. They've beaten the Worriers twice in a row and 3 of the last 4. One day of regular rest between games 5 and 6. Rockets will at least keep their "rhythm". I think it's very possible the role players Ryno/Luc and even Nene (maybe) will step up and collectively surprise everyone. Rockets can play loose now given the uncontrolled setback and that might work out to their favor tomorrow night. To be clear, I believe the Rockets without CP3 can win at least ONE GAME against the Worriers. But I still have to say the Rockets are in a bit of "house money" territory now because of how important having CP3 is. The "house money" territory can produce a "sum is greater than all the parts" scenario. We shall see.
Reminds me of Harden's quote after the 122-121 victory at Oracle on opening night, which you might have been referencing: "We got some dogs on this team, man. We got a chance." I fully believe that Harden will take control of game 6, and he knows what needs to be done now that the CP3 safety net is gone. They just have to keep the defensive pressure up.
