Forget about D12. Go for other Big man like big Al. Now if we're going for the title we need to upgrade pg position. Lin is inconsistent as hell and Harden kind of sucked at playing pg. Do we go for Chris Paul or wait for a year and go for Tony Parker? I feel Parker is better fit with Harden. He might be aging but his game is somehow getting better. Paul and Harden will be like Nash and Kobe playing together which sucked. Poll coming.
Don't get me wrong, Tony Parker is great. He gets to the lane and hits the jumper...but he's sort of a system PG like Arian Foster is a system RB. CP3 produces on a team that runs no offense...he is the offense. If Tony Parker was taken out of the Spurs great system and put on a team like the Clippers...I don't think he'd be able to preform the way CP3 does.
Yep. 100% agree. CP3 is staying with the Clippers + there is no way they would do a sign and trade with us (which is the only way we can get him) Parker leave the Spurs? Never. You dreaming. And that 3rd option Patrick Beastly is a joke right? You heard Morey say last night that he'll be a good rotation guy (backing up Lin) for several years.
Parker will likely be traded to a destination of his choice when Duncan and Pop hang it up, if they win this year, it's not inconceivable that Duncan/Pop retires, that being said, I'd imagine he probably wouldn't want to be in the western conference.
I think i'd rather have TP for this team. Anyway, besides TP(who is just an all star), how many superstar pgs have led their team to a championship? That's why i don't get the constant need to find a star Pg.
How is Parker not leaving the Spurs? He's 31. Ginobili is 35. Duncan is 37. At some point, Ginobili and Duncan will retire while Parker is still productive and the Spurs will have to rebuild. Are they going to keep Parker and try to add some young guys around him? No. They'll trade him for someone younger.
I thought no-one ever leaves the Spurs. I think if they win the title, he might want to retire as a Spur. The Spurs farm system will bring in other talent to surround him with.
Parker is not leaving Spurs. If he was, yes the Rockets would be interested. Paul is not leaving Clippers. If he was, yes the Rockets would be interested. Both are better than Rockets PGs. Superstar PGs are not on a buffet with Morey having a choice.
Rockets already have the better PG in Lin. Paul and Parker would put up worst stats if they had to play with Harden. Check the Usage rate. Lin is the best three point shooter since that time when he stopped shooting poorly. He's only 24 and will grow at an exponential rate every year from now until the turn of the century.
No way! Beverley is the better playmaker (except for when he got 1 assist in the last to games of the playoffs). Beverley is also gonna win DPOY every year from now on as long as he doesn't have to play Reggie Jackson in the playoffs anymore. What's more, Beverley gonna start over Lin if morey and mchale quit and Les sells the team to LOHs.
