Yeah but not to the level of the Heat and Warriors. Maybe the level of the Cavs if Lebron wasn't a machine.
Style and compatibility absolutely have to be considered. I'd pick one championship ring over three WCF appearances. I think Harden would need to do less on offense with Westbrook and MAYBE he'll play better defense then.
I'm not CP's biggest fan, but he would do a much better job of getting the full team involved and giving the shooters a chance, which is what it takes to win. Westbrook will be a huge impact, but will take everyone else's shots.
Westbrook. Agree with those opinions about his decline after 30 due to his athleticism. And yes he's a ball hog (not too disimilar to Harden) but I think WB showed especially during the finals he can share the ball. A walking triple double is always good on any team.
He'd have to do less on offense with Westbrook because he wouldn't get the ball nearly as much. This is a no brainer to me as well...Chris Paul. Paul is a better defender than Westbrook. Paul is a better passer than Westbrook. Paul is a better shooter than Westbrook. Paul is a better teammate than Westbrook. The age matters, but I don't think Harden/Westbrook could work together as the big 2 on a team at all, and while I don't if Paul/Harden could either, I think they'd have a SIGNIFICANTLY higher probability.
Westbrook has surpassed Paul as a player and is significantly younger. That being said, I'm taking Paul. He's a much better fit for what this team needs and what Harden would need next to him. Ultimately the goal isn't to build a really good team for the long-term, it's to be win a championship. I think Paul would be more likely to help the Rockets succeed in that regard than Westbrook.
I can't see it happening. It would be fun though to watch Harden and Westbrook somehow beat Durant and Curry and Thompson and Green. In the playoffs. But mostly it would be funny if Westbrook and Harden beat Durant in the playoffs. Sports is weird ya never knowww
Haha pretty well, but I think a LOT of people on here would admit that they had ill feelings towards CP3 when he was in his nut-punching prime. However, luckily for us, people change, and he's clearly ENJOYING himself here. I don't think we've ever seen a Chris Paul who is actually having fun. It's been a pleasure to watch, and I'm thrilled that he's here.
