Can't say I'm surprised. I was expecting Paul to miss around 20 games this season. He has an injury history, so picking up another one was expected.
CP is out of shape, looks just like Raymon Felton. Hope we kept a receipt for that **** contract, about to make Ryno contract look good.
If he wanted to win he wouldve taken a sacrifice and taken a paycut... fine dont take a paycut (~20mill), but I thought he'd at least not handcuff us for the next 4 seasons. 30 wouldve been reasonable, 40 is ridiculous. especially the way he went out last year, not his fault but if hes the reason we lost.
Its called reality. This team isn't going anywhere when 1/3 of its cap is sitting on the bench for 1/2 the year. And its only year 1 of 4.
Outside of last nights game Chris wasn’t exactly playing at an all star level anymore anyway probaly due to some lingering injury issues so if I’m the Rockets I am putting him on ice till February at the earliest. Get him fit for the playoffs
That's a colorful way to put it that I agree with. Seeing the same comments after a loss gets tiresome. They should at least mix things up some.
Rockets are going into free fall mode. I expect 2-8 in their next 10 games. They are already razor thin on depth with CP healthy.
This CP3 contract is going to go down as one of the biggest mistakes of this franchise. If Morey was the "Smartest GM in the League", he should've saw this a mile away and now that we're shackled to the 160mil, you need to trade him asap to any team that is willing to take him without us giving up picks. It's hilarious people here still think we're going to make the playoffs while resting CP3. It's not going to happen in this year's west and with this year's shallow depth Rockets. If CP3 is out for the next 2 weeks, we'll be losing most of those games. It's like people forget how bad we were before the 5 game win streak.
Who would take Paul in a trade? The guy is expensive and has an history of injuries.... not to mention, he's not having the best season.
Morey has to something now. He has to do whatever it takes to get a backup pg that MD can trust. I think this has become priority 1 even over a 3/4. Morey may be forced to give up more than he wants, if he wants to salvage this season.
The bigger question is who would take him in year 2. Or year 3. With CP3, his greatest trade value will always be yesterday.
