Paul is all show. I don't care if he screws his knee for the year, ASTROS WON THE WORLD SERIES! WOooooooooooooooo.
Not really though. It was a bone bruise. When you google bone bruise he seems to be right on schedule with their timeline. We are just used to expecting Athletes to heal a lot faster than us. Paul is 32 though so he probably heals more like a real person. https://www.saintlukeshealthsystem.org/health-library/bone-bruise
Also doctor stuff says most bone bruises heal slowly over 1-2 months but there are rarely any complications. https://www.saintlukeshealthsystem.org/health-library/bone-bruise Ima trust the doctor stuff and not over react to this injury like some impatient rockets fans haha
All this team cares about is the playoffs. You can takes chances on health in the playoffs because it's win or go home. They want to play it safe with CP3 now because games in the regular season mean diddly squat, to be honest. The Spurs rest Kawhi one out of every ten games in the regular season just to manage his minutes when he's completely healthy. In the playoffs, they rushed him back from a bad ankle sprain in the WCF when they clearly would have sat him in the regular season. What is your rationale for making CP3 play now? A bone bruise can take 4-6 weeks to heal as per several examples in this thread. If they forced him on the court now and there were complications you would probably be first in line to criticize Morey and D'antoni for wasting a season with their short sightedness.
Everyone kept saying this was a good deal. 1 year rental for a guy who gets injured often. Gave up a ton of assets for him. Everyone says Lou Williams was nothing but then why did morey give up a 1st round pick pick for him? Morey would have wasted the pick anyways.
We have to keep CP3 healthy for the next 6 years, not just the one. If he isn't 100 percent, and it isn't the playoffs, let him heal.
Do u expect PJ Tucker and Moute to be here if the trade didn't happen? I don't know about you but I like those 2 better than the guys rotting on Clippers bench.
Another dumb post from someone who doesn't understand what the phrase "Gave up a ton of assets" means.
They've said it happened in game one against GSW but it seems like he was struggling with it in preseason too, wasn't he? Or am I remembering a different injury they were looking out for? I'm glad they're being cautious. Let him sit until the all-star break if that's what it takes to protect our investment. That's plenty of time to find his way with our roster before the playoffs which is what he's here for. We're in first, tied with Golden State and LAC. Not a bad place to be. We can afford to wait.
I had a pretty bad bone bruise after being dumb in college. It was a month before I could run again and two before I could play pickup ball while feeling close to normal. But I'm not a pro-athlete, just a regular runner.
If you watched the Spurs/GSW game last night, you would have heard Popovich say worse things about Kawhi than Paul wrt to changes to expected time frames. He said at end of camp, Kawhi is progresses more than expected. But last night, they basically said, forget that, we have no clue. Could be another month. I suppose ppl will say that is brilliant strategy by Pops to rest Kawhi and it is all planned, yet MDA and the Rockets are hiding the facts, because we have no clue.
