its Chris paul With Ryan Anderson that is the key. They are going to have to really guard anderson with the way he's playing, and that should open things up for others...

That's fine, but I personally don't believe the Rockets need a hobbled Warriors team in order to beat them. Rockets can beat anyone straight up......health withstanding.

No I won't bet money...I'm not a betting man. This is not a pissing match about who's right. I could not care less about being right.

We are all Rockets fans here (I'm assuming) and want the Rockets to succeed. I'm entitled to what I believe as far as their success potential opposed to you or anyone else on here. Go bet with yourself...you might win.

Chris Paul and James Harden are better individually and together than Monroe and Frazier. Hard to compare two eras that are so radically different but I do believe that to be the case. CP in the running for best PG to ever play the game. Harden should be a top 5 all time SG by the end of his career.

Out of curiosity, I took a look at the stats the top guards in NBA history. I rated them using equal parts PER, BPM, and WS/48 for their regular season performance (relative to a pool of 50 candidate guards given by top guards by PER who played > 600 career minutes), adjusting the rating in proportion to the minutes they played per game. Here are the top SG / combo guards in league history, using this method:

    Code:
Player G BPM WS/48 PER GS MP PTS TRB AST STL BLK TOV FG% eFG% FT% TS% RATING

This is looking a total career, so you could argue that it underrates players like Kobe who entered the league at a very young age and played a significant chunk of their career with a more dominant star player. It also doesn't account at all for playoff performance or actual winning.

Still, on a purely statistical level, one can make a case that Harden is the second greatest SG of all time.

Interesting analysis, even without the win totals - which are not always tied to individual greatness. It passes the eye test IMO, although I think NBA fans would lose their minds if Harden were rated over Logo at this point. It also shows just how amazing MJ was at everything.

Real problem is that while Harden may retire 2nd to Jordan in WS/48 amongst 2 guards, his WS/48 will undoubtedly dip as he declines, probably below Jerry West but remain above D-wade

You use the CODE block feature often. Switch to Clutchfans Dark Theme and look at it again. Lot of your fans (like me) use Dark side.

Also, if you got that data from bbref, the TABLE feature from them works good here.

    that’s my list as well

if he wins an MVP and topples GS on his way to a ring then he has a case for that 3rd spot

It is really early in the year to call this Warriors team the greatest ever. We know they are really good, but are they better than the previous 3 years of Warriors teams?

We have played 20-25% of the season. We don’t know who if anyone will be hurt or what trades will or won’t be made. We also don’t know how the league has/will adjust. The league isn’t static and we don’t know how that will impact the Warriors.

I agree Golden State should be the favorite but the Rockets don’t have to play 4 perfect games to win the series.

I can’t argue with that...I’ve only seen a few clips of his on YouTube so most of what I know about him is based off of what other people have said, but he is a legend and his numbers were great

ok. we'd probably play them in the WCFs...we have 3 injury prone players: nene, gordon, and paul. So injuries play a factor. They have to play on one days rest on many minutes a lot of times. its definately possible that we can beat them straight up on hot shooting.
