Any team that can beat the Showtime Lakers 4-1 is a great team in my book. We just ran into a team with 5 future Hall of Famers, a pretty damn good future NBA executive and one really solid future coach. But we still gave them a run for it because we had the greatest player in the history of basketball on our team.
Maybe his L versus Steph has dimmed his greatness a bit lately and also his lack of postseason success. If we gpt DMO the fan base would be on fire, smh ignorant 'fans' is a factor
I think (along with the melo situation) , the lack of attention for the Chris Paul trade is that his star has diminished over the last couple of years . Even on his old team , griffin and Jordan seem to get more national attention . And CP3 isn't a young and upcoming guy . The media and fans have shiny new toy disease and CP3 doesn't fit the bill . Personally , I think his skill is beyond question and both he and James have never played with another guard at the same intellectual level. I'm a bit worried about his age and athleticism , but maybe we are deep enough and will be good enough to limit his minutes and keep him fresh. I think that between Melo , the other Houston teams, and the hurricane ... CP3 IS flying under the radar. As soon as camp starts ... Or we get melo , the discussion about how the roster will play will come back with fury. CP3 was such and all in move ... And we DID give up a lot to get him . Yes he is the best player in the deal by a good margin . But we gave up multiple rotation players and a couple of them were young and might have upside . We also gave up a pick. This is going to be (if nothing else ) an incredibly interesting season and I'm super pumped up for it .
why do you keep saying that? Is Dmo triggering people again? I thought he helped out with the storm to save his favorite BBQ restaurant.
I'm not a demon man, im tha dude. Not some demon because last I checked i don't have any horns, i pay my taxes, i only make love to clean women, and I'm mostly a pacifist, and i love people of all walks of life. Also, my favorite person of all time is a black muslim named Hakeem. Do I pass the demon test or no?
Still been a weird adjustment... especially since I've always been a CP3 hater and now gotta rep him all day. Still don't think it's sunken in for me we got Dwight Howard...
There been quite a few that took their respective teams further. Heck Iverson wasn't a true PG all the time but that was the position bestowed upon him and he took the Sixers much further in a more competitive eastern conference era. There's Nash then there's Stockton and of course Jason Kidd who took their respective teams much further into the post season, even winning it all. Paul had some very good players on his squad over the years so don't even use that for debate.
