He is unreal, he gets completely amped for every game like it or not.

You guys should read up on some of the dirty things Jordan, Bird and Magic did, Childs play compared to the GOATS.

imo theres some ppl u shouldnt talk trash too in the nba it only leads to trouble

kobe, mj, lbj, etc and obviously cp

if this was a playoff game, and rafer goes and pisses off cp/tc we'd be in serious trouble in a series cuz they'd come in every game looking to play with a chip on their shoulder

the rockets have always been a laid back crew, we don't look for fights -

whatever the case, i dont like CP after his disrespect after the game, chandler always sucked he can just dunk due to no yao in the middle and the nba honestly will make sure the celtics win even if they have to bring in their special refs to do it aka jazz back in the late 90s

Talking trash can be an effective part of the game when used correctly. Over using it apparently doesn't help too much. Paul is a known talker and loves to open his mouth. Alston just responded to his yaking and for some reason Paul has been taking it personally since he took the talking off court.

If you are afraid of pissing off a player for talking trash you really shouldn't be playing basketball in the NBA.

the title is a direct quote from cp3 during an interview after the game...if you read some of the replies it would make more sense.

Tyson and Darko are the two big punks in the league. They always want to fight. I guarantee you Rafer was playing this against Tyson to get him going. Of the three players involved here, Tyson Chandler is the one that thinks he is a whole lot better than he is. He's nothing but a young, motivated Kelvin Cato, just defend, rebound, and garbage points off putbacks. And he's got a short fuse and Rafer sensed it and used it against him. Rafer knows when Tyson gets his head screwed on wrong that he can't think straight and it effects him defensively, making him more susceptible to fouling and being out of position because he is overplaying.

And Chris Paul......great, great player. But he's not there psychologically yet. That is where Rafer is better than him. Paul should have got his big man and told him to ignore Rafer. But this mess started a while back and Rafer has it figured out, that he can get Tyson rattled, so he used it on him. And Paul jumped in with Tyson instead of pulling Tyson away. Now Rafer's got bof of 'em out of sorts. That's funny. It'll be interesting to see what Rafer does next time we play them and they get us down and start stomping us. I think he's too smart to go off. I think he'll still be working Tyson to get him out of his game.

The other thing about that deal is Rafer is a small and Tyson a big. Rafer has automatic protection on the basketball court. Tyson comes after him or fouls him hard, Tyson gets hit with the tech or the flagrant and/or gets the boot. Tyson can't physically fight him on the court. At the same time, Rafer can hit, jab, poke, kick, etc. etc. etc., and it all looks so innocent because he's a small. But he's pestering the fire out of the opponent. Rafer can and does use this to his advantage. You can just tell. When a big gets pi--ed off because a mouse is down there beating him to the ball or beating his team, then gets frustrated and starts the physical stuff, because he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, that's when you start the chatter and send him over the edge. And Rafer's got Tyson's number.

These boys are just playing boy's games. Anybody that's played basketball knows this kinda stuff goes on in a rivalry. If you can get a psychological edge on an opponent, hehehehe, you're already halfway home. Rafer's up on dem boys right now.

Paul said "I wish I could be half as good as Rafer since he thinks hes so good"

thats completely different than what was in the title. paul was just responding to rafer's trash talking.

After the game, rafer was complaining to the ref about something and chandler came up to them. Chandler stood there for at least 10-20 seconds just listening to rafer and the...Then he got into the conversation, and rafer and chandler exchanged words...paul came over to jaw some more with rafer...the three of them had to get broken up by the officials and a security guard...rafer then turned around and went straight into an interview while chandler and paul got booed off the court.

You must have missed the Rockets Bulls tilts in the early 90's there was one player and one player alone that could get under the skin of Michael Jordan and get away with it and his name was Vernon Maxwell.

The Rockets were the only team to have a winning record against the Bulls during their first three championship years and we did it at a 5-1 clip no less.

You have a point to an extent, but it's that kind of junk that gets Rafer playing better and motivates him. When you're playing ball, trash talking is common especially on the streets. Usually it's left on the courts, but with CP3 and Tyson acting the way they did, maybe they can't let it go. I can't wait for the next game, we might have mass ejections.

I forgot about that, and I was looking at the Wake/NC State game that night to. He hit him in the nuts simply because they were struggling. Classless.

I couldn't care less if he pisses off Paul and Chandler. They were pissed off last night and got their @sses handed to them. You might be scared of them but obviously the Rockets aren't.
