It would be dumb for Blake to just go and punch someone. What Blake can stop doing is instigating most of these situations and then flopping like a little girl playing the victim card.
Taking a multi game suspension this year, when his team has legit title equity in possibly the most competitive conference race in league history, would be a huge mistake. He needs to learn to take hard but clean fouls on defense, and quit the flopping so he doesn't induce these frustrated cheap shots from opponents.
Blake being stupid enough to punch somebody in the face would (effectively) paint a target on his back for the rest of his career. The NBA and refs would never cut him any slack or give him the benefit of any doubts and players would bait and provoke him worse than ever. One clear observation: Blake never has and never will intimidate opposing NBA players on the floor. A temporary tantrum wouldn't change that. Guys would probably say to his face, "you gonna hit me too"? Blake burned his man-card his first couple of years with a macho-feminine act of glaring at players after dunking yet flailing like a girl any time someone breathed on him. I loved him in college but he lost me in the NBA.
Somebody please gif that flop on Bev in the 4th. They need to make a subreddit of the biggest floppers. Then have an updated chart by name every season.
He actually kept normal for 95% of the game, but he couldn't resist at the very end with that flop on Bev. The best part about it is how gets up afterwards, as if he's just taken a punch of something. Such a soft move, wonder what guys in the 80s would have done to him.
I promise you he won't get fined for that flop on Beverley tonight. We need to draw attention to it! #FineChrisPaul
I'm glad you asked…if he would've got up smirking like that against The Bad Boys or Barkley, teeth would be missing. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X7r6vXeOfyQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6XNqYf03Qk0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NLv2F33snCE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Chris Paul's flopping has to be addressed by the NBA. Fines are not good enough. Warning for 1st offence, 1 game suspension for second offence, 2 game suspension for second offence & 3 game suspension for each subsequent flop. Maybe if the team suffers & the players lose real money then the scourge of flopping might be eradicated from our beautiful game.
Harden and Beverly were sore losers tonight as they flagrantly tried to injure CP3 when they couldn't get their way. What a bunch of dirty a$$ players. I say, have some class when you are outplayed.
CP3 does flop, but you don't want those rules to be enforced because Harden would be missing a bunch of games too. Harden's whole game is about drawing fouls and flopping...which leads to these BS efficiency ratings. So basically, we are saying efficiency ratings are all BS because they are based completely on flopping.
1) most enjoyable moment of the game. 2) go back and watch the replay. Paul was holding onto Harden's arm, and as expected Harden pushed him, then Paul fell down. It is all part of his set up job to draw a foul. This time he didn't get away with it. He just got what he deserved.
On the flipside of this, James Harden is also a guilty of the same thing. Its all about playing the game and selling your calls.
Agree, it is part of the game. Even Griffin flops a lot now. I hope one day Howard could flop a little bit so that he could get the deserved calls. I don't like CP though, he is a very dirty player.
