    Not on that particular play.

He was inbounding, talking to his team mate and got whistled. It was a joke and makes nba refs look terrible.

Please show where I indicated that I disagreed with a tech call in that game. I didn't see the whole game, but I agreed with the tech calls I saw.

Oh I definitely know what it takes to get a tech called. Grade & high school, no problem. But get me in a church league & that's a different story.

I don't think anyone believes she "can't handle" the comment. I do agree that people are blowing this out of proportion. I don't think anyone can prove what he said was sexiest. However, I don't think that is the type of comment that the league can ignore. I think that comment is out of line for any player to make, regardless of whether the official is male or female.

What was he talking to his teammates about? Because if it was about the refs and the refs could here that's a legal tech.

I care more that he's criticizing a rookie ref than that it's a female ref. As the new employee, she's going to get scrutinized more by her bosses, and it puts undue pressure on her to get singled out by a star player on a playoff team in a big market who also happens to be the union president. Maybe that's Paul trying to get whatever advantage he can, but it's not fair to the ref. Hopefully, she has the fortitude to not let it affect her, but the league should show they've got her back by supporting the calls and penalizing the criticism.

(And, yeah, it'd be a fine if they bring a penalty -- has the league ever used a suspension or other tool to penalize criticism of refs?)

I think on Paul's tech, it was an out-of-bounds turnover on Cleveland. Holtkamp had the ball under her arm and Paul kept trying to swipe it out to get a quick inbounds so the Cleveland defense didn't have time to setup. Not a smart idea to swipe the ball from the ref. He probably said something, too, and likely whined/cried many times earlier in the game.

All the Clippers techs were deserved. They are a mentally weak front-running team that crumbles under pressure.

They got their @** handed to them on the road. Those techs don't really make a difference.

Dunno what others saw, but it seemed like the Refs were finally giving Chris Paul and Co. the kind of unforgiving foul calls that most of the other teams in the NBA have to suck up.

Chris Paul is a notorious whiner when it comes to fouls. It's nice to see the refs put their foot down. DeAndre Jordan thinks he never fouls. Matt Barnes has a crap attitude on the court and often gets away with it.

I hate to see it happen against the Lebron's... er, Cavs, but it was long overdue.

Paul, Griffin, etc seem like pretty cool guys off the court. But on the court they are some of the biggest b****es in the entire league and it seems like a cultural thing for the whole team.

They were already getting blown out and acting up and got what they deserved by the book.

BTW when's the last time Paul complained about the refs like this?

You would expect the ref's association to side with Ms. Holtkamp, but calling CP's comments personal & unprofessional is a complete & warrented backing of her!

    I can't believe I just totally agreed with the ref's association! :eek::confused:

I love this only because its Chris Paul. The whole SJW movement sweeping though America is a farce but I hate Chris Paul and I don't feel sorry for him. He's a troll of a player, worse than Patrick Beverly

    I dont agree with them...

I think theyve blown this up at the same time covering for her poor performance which is what he was getting at.

Its a shame that people have decided to get outraged and make this some kind of sensitive sexist ridiculousness when you know good and well thats not what he mean.

This. I agree. But I do think that the female part is not totally innocent. If there's a profession with only 2% black employed, and then one of the big shots tell one of the only 2 black employees, "This is not for you," you'd think there's something sensitive there, fair or not.

Me too. I normally give the refs association no credit. But this time, I'd side with them--and feel kind of dirty:eek:.

Suspension worthy. Imagine if it was a black ref and a white player said that about him? We all know women refs are a new thing and the comment was undoubtedly sexist and condescending in nature, albeit veiled in a way to where it could kind of be defended. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.

Suspension and fine. Hopefully. Also doesn't help that Chris Paul is the biggest whiner and flopper in the league.
