Which is why the Lakers have gotten so many amazing FA pickups in the last 20 years right? After all, LA is LA....

See now ur not being honest. In one of the post I said if new York or Lakers ever got they **** together they would be the best spots in the nba. Lakers with a declining Kobe wasn't good. Knicks with just a dysfunctional organization wasn't good, what I'm saying is they ever actually get right and be on the same playing field as everybody else they are better destination. Lakers are in a good position. They have cap n good young assets to trade away. U telling me u can't acknowledge that fact.

I do. I'm just not so hyped over LA as everyone else seems to be. Would I move to LA for a job equivalent to what I have now? No.

Ok now we getting somewhere. I understand maybe u would but put it in the context of the guys in the nba. They like being famous rubbing elbows with stars. U can see how that would be attractive to them right

Or you could just admit that despite the media narrative, the drawing power of NY and LA is GREATLY over hyped. Also note that I said 20 years, even before Kobe was declining, no top tier FA's wanted to go there.

I think the Lakers are in a good position to pick up Paul George but this isn't exactly an amazing FA class. I think Lebron realizes that a team with him and Paul George gets smoked by the Warriors AND the Rockets just like the team with him and Kevin Love did, so I think he passes on the Lakers in favor of being on a contender...then with him off the table, and CP3 taking the money here, who do you have?

Do they go after Boogie with a broken wheel? DAJ? Jabari Parker?

I think the Lakers are in a good position to get themselves back into the playoffs, but no scenario that puts them above the Warriors or Rockets.

we are under the assumption Chris Paul's resigns with us like I said a core of goerge LeBron James and Chris Paul wou't get you better than Houston.

My larger point is it is easier for them to get 3 stars then it is for us to get lbj with Paul n harden. They have all the cards.

That's Anderson contract will go down as what got us. But I don't blame morey. At the time his skill set was good for this team so u had to over pay. Since James was coming off a year where he was killed in the media.

Cause I remember at the time we got Anderson I told people at work this signing was only to make James assist numbers go up n get that bad narrative off of him of being a ball.hog. I was like morey smart.

Why are we under the assumption that CP re-signs while we are also under the assumption that LBJ can pull any free agent (including his close friend?) and NBA dudes <3 LA?

Yeah, I think it's a safe assumption that Chris Paul signs back with Houston....a much safer assumption than all 3 of Lebron, Paul George, and Chris Paul signing for 10-15 million less than they'd get elsewhere just to make the Lakers viable again. When you think about it, that sounds a lot like the fantasy of a Lakers fan rather than anything based in reality. Lebron can have a better 3 superstar team AND get paid 35 million dollars with no state taxes for more than half of his games while doing it in Houston....why would he want to cost himself that much money just to create a weaker team in LA?

Not really, it's actually incredibly easy for the Rockets to get Lebron if Lebron wants to come here....and that would give the Rockets 2 superstars.

With the Lakers, they can get about 60 mil in cap space meaning that they can pick up 2 superstars in FA if they take small pay cuts but then you just have Paul George and Lebron, how do you pull off a 3rd? Just hope that someone gives you one out of the kindness of their heart?

Because my friend if u want to win as a player why wouldn't u go play with a man that's been to 8 straight finals. At this point is u have lbj you are going to the finals. Idk about u 8 straight is as close as one can get to guarantees

Why wouldn't you prefer to team up with him in Houston where both of you could make 30+ million dollars while doing it and playing alongside the reigning MVP of the league?

Wait why would those guys have to sign that mush less. U do know Lakers have a ton I mean a ton of cap room. Then on too of it what u seem to gloss over is what lbj did when he went to miami. That should I keep mentioning the young assets Lakers have. If you're going to lose James and geogre for nothing why not if you teams sign him and trade him and get some of them young assets back from LA. That's the good position I was talking bout that Lakers have...that only 1 other team has the Celtics. Btw. No other team has a better hand then Boston. In my opinion not even the warriors. I know I'm off subject. But Boston has th3 keys to the future of the nba. Gonna be in the finals the next 4 years atleast. I digress

Because the Anderson contract. We ****ed ourselves. It's possible but u have to depend on more things to fall through cause Anderson contract is an anvil

I think you are agreeing with me. We are both saying there is a good chance CP would join LBJ in Lala Land, no?

The Lakers can get just over 60 mil in cap room that means 3 guys would have to share that paying them just over 20 mil each....which means that they are sacrificing between 10 and 15 million dollars each just to create your fantasy scenario for the Lakers......instead of just having Lebron opt in and get traded to Houston which is better for Cleveland, better for Lebron, better for CP3, better for the Rockets, and better for the chances of Lebron adding championships to his record.

So, in your opinion, there's no team that would eat 2 years of a bad contract while they tank in exchange for draft picks? Let's just say that I disagree with you on that one.
