It seems impossible right now. There's nothing you can do to get rid of Ryan Anderson unless you attach multiple future 1sts to a team who is forced to use their cap space and absorb his contract(are there any such teams so far under the cap?). Morey of course can work his magic to find a 3 or 4 or however many multiple team trade scenarios, but it just seems nearly impossible at this point in time. That's where I think most of the media is coming from. An unbias view at how hard it will be to get any 1 star here due to Ryan Andersons contract. Rockets fans want to pipedream every day and fantasize scenarios where Morey just makes Ryan Anderson disappear into thin air AND we get stars in return.

You can't even attach Ryno with a sign and trade Capela scenario can you? We literally only realistically have Eric Gordon to use as an asset to attach with Ryno. That's not going to get anything done. That leaves only 1 option. Dumping Ryno with Harden in a Rockets trade. Yes. The Cavs take that as long as we take back 1 of their contracts too to match, but there's no way CP3, Daryl and Tilman do Harden like that even for the 2nd greatest player of all time. Just not happening. Though....we have traded a reigning MVP before when he was 26 years old only.

KD to Golden State was actually broken by Haralobob on twitter in a cryptic tweet 36-48 hours before Haynes reported it. After his tweet, that said something like "might as well just give them the trophy now", and then the subsequent replies he made letting ppl know that it wasn't just a hunch or speculative.

From what i can tell Haynes has a good source with the Players Tribune. Both KD and Hayward officially announced it via that platform with pathetic letters to their old fan bases. In both cases, someone at Players Tribune probably tipped to Haynes.

...Tillman is more of the rags to riches guy - far more relatable to Lebron than a over the hill, smug lifelong attorney like Alexander.

Right after this report comes out, Wondhorst reports that “nothing is off the table”

Seems like a response to me...

    Cleveland is home town team.

Philly means he stays in the east, another Big Three, plus good chance they bring in a GM he likes.

LA because I believe they have a chance to bring in both him and Paul George, and because of its glamor. I think he also has a second home there.

And now Marc Stein thinks Lebron is going to LA and bringing CP3 with him. The national guys REALLY don’t want Lebron in Htown

    https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/ce...elationship-fixable-espns-chris-haynes-weighs

    Chris Haynes:

Boston, I know this for a fact, Boston, along with teams like Golden State and Houston, San Antonio too - those are organizations LeBron has mad respect for. If they worked out a game plan where they showed him they can acquire him & put the necessary moves together, all those organizations I mentioned all have savvy front office gentleman. Out of respect, he would talk to Boston as well. That's the extent. I don't think it goes any further than that.

Boston situation & LeBron ... the growth of those around him. When you look at the guys around him, you don't see them steadily grow & improve. How much is that gonna factor in whether he goes to a team already filled with vets or is he open to the idea of being a mentor?

He's open to being a mentor to a younger team if that team has the talent to compete right now for championships. He's not taking a step back. Young teams who can compete, Boston & Philadelphia. LeBron has to weigh do I stay in Cleveland and if so, is this front office clever enough to pull off moves? If LeBron gets swept, the chances of him re-signing drops dramatically. It just does. A couple days ago he answered a question about how deep Golden State was. He was talking about how you need talent & smart guys. He's giving teams a blue print, that this is what you need to have if you're chasing me.

Belief is LeBron hasn't made up his mind. Do you expect him to be in Cleveland?

I think he'll give them a fair shot. Ultimately, if this series ends the way it could end, that leaves a sour taste. He's trying to win & win now. Cleveland is just not good enough. That's a simple fact. They'll have to do a complete overhaul if they want to keep him.

If you're the Celtics, do you cut Kyrie loose & bring in LeBron or let LeBron do whatever he'll do?

I'll have to ship Kyrie. Playing with LeBron, you don't need another ball dominant guard. Rozier can be formidable. That's why I say you make that call. If I'm the Celtics, I have to think, Boston is in the East, I bring the best player on board, no signs of decline, I have a good 3-year window. If he starts to decline next year, will he fall out of the top spot? He takes care of his body. He's defined all the odds.

    Any way they could coexist?

That ship has sailed on Kyrie's end. He got out for a reason. If the Celtics a year later said we're gonna try to acquire the guy you tried to get away from, that lets Kyrie know who is in charge. I would think Kyrie would asked to be moved.

Sixers? Does hiring David Griffin enhance their chances?

I don't know if it enhances it that much. Philly is an option. I couldn't tell you why Philly is an option. I don't see how or why Ben & LeBron would want to play together. On the court if baffles me but it is a legitimate option. If LeBron is in Philly, there's a new point guard in town. LeBron handles the ball, that's it. I hope it doesn't happen. I don't know if it'll a good fit.

    Kyrie's commitment to Boston?

When news got out he requested a trade, I reported he gave the Cavs a list of teams. I don't remember the teams but the Knicks were one of them. Knicks were one, Miami was one, San Antonio,... Knicks are legit. I haven't been around him as much in the last year and half. I wouldn't want to make up something. It's tough if you're a competitor watching your team thrive without you. I don't know if that'll factor in deciding his long term future. I don't know. Knowing him, he'll make a decision when it's time. I'm not sure he's thought that far ahead.

He says this because its a contradictory view. He is simply wanting his name to be mentioned, nothing more.

Definitely not Cleveland, they are stuck with far too many bad contracts on aging players. Their only real quality asset is the pick, but it isn't valuable enough to trade for another top tier player.

Sixers and Boston are the only two real threat for Houston when it comes to teams that give Lebron a chance to win it all. Sixers however, will still be a major question mark because Lebron and Simmons will be a horrible fit. Boston will be a very good spot for Lebron, but there are some question marks there with Irving's presence, They will also have to figure out what to the with Hayward.

Houston will have some contract issues to figure out, but no other team but the Rockets are proven threats to GSW.

Thats ridiculous. If Lebron thinks that THEN he is not as great as some believe him to be.. I put his success high only because he is in the east. You literally have a golden opportunity here to beat the Warriors and he sounds like a ESPN talking head. It's stupid, If the Warriors win again next season you might as well call lt the end for the NBA. It's become lame and predictable. Just rename the league to GSW. Lebron is scared to go to the West.

I'd haveta predict Bron to LA....
They can give him max money - none of this take a paycut stuff..
Major market to drive endorsement money...
    Glitz and glamour of LA...
Studio access to further film career...
Gets to look all wise and mentor-ish with Lonzo = good pr, SI covers, etc...
...only downside I see is if he didnt want to risk being around Daddy Ball-crazy and potentially haveta deal with that drama...

Ring chasing is for guys that dont have rings...

If true, what teams other than Golden State is in "Championship Mode" right now?

    Only Houston. MAYBE.....Boston.

He's won his rings... Any team Bron is on will be above average and a playoff team...

I think Bron is smart enough to know his legacy is secure - and to maximize his earnings through the end off his career - and be set up for high dollar earning potential beyond his playing years...

    Foolish pride vs big picture

Its a pride vs pride issue.

He’s already set financially for life. He’s near a billionaire and will eventually become a billionaire even if he retired today. His brand is huge.

So he needs to decide what he takes pride in more. Does he take more pride in furthering his brand even more or does he take more pride in trying to further his basketball legacy with more rings?

Its a fair question with no easy answer they could both overlap, but im starting to think its the latter. I think he has developed an obsession with wanting to beat the warriors. He clearly stated that he wants to be in championship mode next year.

This does not mean he will go to houston necessarily, he could win in philly or he could win if other stars go with him to la but winning and basketball will play a big role in his decision imo.

If he is really serious about winning then those 3 options aren't valid

Cavs arent going anywhere their core is bunch of washed role players, if he goes to philly they'll reach ECF but probably won't make it out there due to the celtics even if they do aint no chance in hell the'll beat the warriors in the finals, if he goes to the lakers with PG still won't make it out of the WCF assuming they face warriors or even us....yes even if he joined the lakers they still wont beat us in 7 games series assuming we keep the roster intact.

Only logical place to beat the warriors is the Rockets.
