Chris Broussard: Rockets will go after Andrew Bynum?

they'd be young and dangerous. no doubt. of course you'd take bynum but at what cost. is he the number #2 option then - does he have that kind of post play in him? and what kind of team do we have left after paying him? i want cousins and Bynum - now there's a squad.

 

Again... look at the teams that actually have cap space next season to even offer a max contract then tell me which of those 4 or 5 teams are going to offer it to Josh Smith? Maybe Dallas or Phoenix are desperate enough... but that's really the only teams I could see as possibilities.

Yeah Gordon got a max contract last Summer, but that move was two years in the works from the team that acquired him with the notion that he was going to be their replacement franchise player in place of CP3. That would be like the 76ers giving Bynum the max next Summer if he had a healthy season this year... sort of a no-brainer for that team.
