Meh, this argument has been had hundreds of times on Clutchfans. It's not worth it. Obviously the history of a team doesn't reflect a guy's value.
I love this arguement you do know the Roster he had that got playoffs had almost the same core for the next 2-3 years....in the east were 45 games can get you in the playoffs. Chris is no leader on that team and he won't be a leader on this team, he wants to play with Wade or LBJ. What does that say...he wants to be second fiddle, that is a loser mentality. Go do the billboard, I think it's great. Wake me up when he actually wants to come here.
Bosh is NOT coming to H-Town! A billboard would be just a waste of money. If anything will persuade Bosh is if Morey tantalizes Bosh's agent.
Speaking of great arguments... wanting to play with a player who will help you win is considered a loser mentality. How about that.
More like wanting to piggy back on another player because he knows he can't lead a team to it. That is why he ain't coming to Houston because Wade nor LBJ are coming here unless DM pulls a miracle.
Out of the last 4 seasons, he's made the playoffs twice...and who cares if its the same core for a few years...that core sucks. Its like saying that the Texans defensive line has been the same for the last 3 years, but they still cant be in the top 15 in sacks. The Raptors have had a crap team for years...they have some talent here and there, but by no means are they in any position to be a good team. Take out Bosh and replace his roster spot with DWade and they arent that much better. Maybe a 45 win team. Look at Wade in Miami...the last 3 years, they have won 47, 43, and 15 (Wade played in 51 games, but they still barely won with him in the lineup). Its not like he's done anything more special than Bosh within these last few years. Sure, he won a championship, but he also had a very solid team that helped get him there...a much better team that Bosh has ever had. Still wondering though...Did Wade's "leadership" abilities suddenly go away? He's putting up good numbers, but his team isnt doing anything.
Time will tell if you're right, but to me even the greats do the same thing. Kobe wasn't leading LA anywhere until the Gasol trade, and LeBron's constantly been asking for help. The nature of NBA basketball requires at least 2 great players on a team to win it all.
Honestly, I don't think this one symbolic move would add much more to what the website already does. And I would feel bad if all that money was spent on something insignificant. Maybe we could donate the money to a charity Bosh is passionate about, and put it in the name of Houston4BoshFans or something.
