I don't think Les or anyone associated with the Rockets is allowed to until July 1st. Which, at that point, it would be too late.

I agree his coming here is a longshot -- but I can foot $10 to keep my hopes alive.

I think it's waste of money, he is not going to be able to see it only if we send him a picture.

why dont u guys find out where he lives and wait outside his house and kidnap him and put a gun to his head to make him sign a contract with us, because thats about the only way hes gonna end up in Houston.

Sending Bosh a few extra million might be persuasive. I hate to rain on the parade, but it seems unlikely that Bosh comes here, and I don't see that as the end of the world. It is never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. There are alternatives. I sort of think some of our young players might turn out to be pretty special. Al Jefferson of the Wolves has always impressed me. Maybe a combo of a "star" or two (not one superstar) with some really good role players might elevate the Rockets. The price for Bosh is likely going to be too high.

I seriously doubt Bosh spends his offseason in Toronto, especially now that he's not going to play for them next season. That's just another place he won't see it.

I'm wondering if he lives in the Dallas area since that's where he's from. It'd be kind of awesome to put up a pro-Rockets billboard in Dallas.

For one billboard? This just seems a little silly. If the Rockets can convince Bosh to come down for a visit, it wouldn't be a bad idea for the organization to put up a few billboards for his time down here..... but for the fans to pay and put up some random billboard, on a random day, in a random dt location and think that might have some sort of impact on Bosh's decision making is kind of silly, in my opinion.

yea unless hes comin to visit Houston sometime soon I wouldnt advise puttin one up here.. do it in Canada and slap everyone in the face

or one step further, put one up in all pontential cities he'd sign with, Chi, NY, MIA  if we really wanted to stick it to those cities it would be feasible cuz we have a thousands of clutch fans all we would need is 400 fans to donate 10 bucks.. 100 fans per billboard per city

I think most of us know him coming here is a longshot -- but come on, $10? Yeah, he might never physically see it. But I still think it's pretty cool to have a city of fans begging for you to go there, independent of the organization. At the worst, it would get some national publicity I would think.

I imagine it would be illegal to put up his likeness on a billboard without his consent, or the NBA/Rocket's consent if he's in uniform. Then again, who exactly would you sue?

Regardless, don't see how that'd be more effective then the website.

Advertising for a major metropolitan city only $1000 for a billboard that 100,000 plus might see a day? Bah, hardly.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to own a poster of Yao, Bosh, Battier, Martin, and Brooks standing together. Mmm mmm mmmmmmm.

I agree with this. Provided that it's put in a useful location where Bosh WILL see it, he might appreciate the fans doing it a lot more than some random team's management plastering billboards all over Toronto, which would be tacky.

Nice. This just in: no NBA player ever won an NBA championship before winning an NBA championship.

No, he's right. The Lakers were out of their minds when they got Shaq. The same goes for the Celtics and Garnett. I don't get the hoopla over Lebron either. No ring = not interested.

The point is we are treating this like he is a winner. Lol

o wait his 1 winning season out of 7 proves it.....

I can understanding drooling over him, if he came here as a player who lead his team deep in the playoffs. Must of missed the boat. I guess it's the Rosters fault that the Raptors only had 1 winning season in Bosh's career.

I didnt realize basketball is an individual sport.

Fact is that if you dont have 4 competent teammates, you're not going anywhere in this league.
