It was all over the news, sir. You don't have CABLE or REGULAR TV STATIONS installed on that rock you live under? :p

I'm a bit of a news junkie. And I've heard of them primarily since this particular incident. So there. [I say 'primarily' because of the aforementioned Best Buy commercial that alerted me that someone named Rihanna existed.]

Which is precisely why I have no clue who he is.

so why did u comment in this thread if you had no interest in the topic? just to let us know that you're a cave dwelling, old fart, that is disconnected with the youthful american society?

    boom, roasted! ;)

Lol, because the OP asked something to the effect of "why isn't this being discussed," so....I answered.

Not even close. Lil Wayne is the most popular among teens right now, along with the freaking Jonas Brothers. Chris Brown was popular though, but Rihanna is more popular.

You are right. Just wanted to point out that Chris Brown is actually very talented performer and a very good singer also. He is probably more talented than alot other musicians that you guys claim to be talented.

95% of the 30+ crowd wouldn't know him. I had no idea who this clown was until I looked at the end of year Billboard charts. Every other song had him, TI Pain, and Usher on it. I tried to listen to some of these songs ranked in the top 10 and they were horrible. It's like the equivalent of last decades C+C Music Factory.

Lol... it's the union of TI and T-Pain... TI Pain. :D

I hear you though. I get sick of every song having TI or Lil Wayne on it. At least Akon has slowed down a bit. I was starting to wonder if anybody else was afraid to make music without those 3 on the cut. I like some of Chris Brown's stuff though. A shame he had to go and do crap like this.

Sigh, I remember the good ol' days, when every song had Timbaland, Ludacris, or Diddy on the track. :)

I remeber the good ole days when every song had Ice Cube, Scarface or a dope ass Dj Mugs beat in the track.

This Chris Brown was unbeknown to me but I knew who Rhianna was.

I remember the good old days when you had to go to the local saloon to hear some good banjo...

I liked those days, too, but was only around the 5th grade when they were out. I much enjoyed my 2nd to 4th grade rap when Eminem was big. Those were the golden days for me. Now, it's strictly IPOD because the radio plays a bunch of crap. I'd rather hear Charles Hamilton than T-Pain's weak voice any day.

It's pop music. It's not made for you. It's not like Chris Brown was angling for the middle aged white guy audience.

Hey now, Cube and Scarface never whored themselves out like that. That stuff mostly started with the guys I mentioned (plus Jermaine Dupri).

Man I've been meaning to get that mixtape. I like him. He brings flavor to the industry.
