I like how the poll says that if we're not able to pull off a trade without screwing ourselves then Morey's choice above anyone else is Chuck Hayes The hard thing to grasp for too many people on this board is that Morey plays "deal or no deal" with the big boys. He is not going to get beaten and will only bring someone/thing here if it helps us somehow. I hope we upgrade - but simply because that means we 'won'
   I really will be shocked if DM is able to get one between Cousins and McGee! IMO the rockets ideal Center would be someone like Andrew Bogut but It's not going to happen... Anyway I believe that DM is going after the Clippers! They are going to need money if they want to resign DeAndre, and Kaman coming off the books will give them exactly that... Kaman if healthy can be a 15 points, 12 rebound, 2 block a game type of guy, the bad thing is he's another player with those two words on him... If Healthy! And every rockets fan is tired of all those injuries!
Lets just start the photoshop thread and see who looks best in a Rockets uni... If not foranything else, it is fun to see... Only prob, I cant photoshop. Someone get to work.
Jordan or Asik would be nice, but don't really see either one happening. I think the Nene talk is just that, talk...Morey is trying just seems that the other side, regardless of the team isn't really interested right now.
I would love to get Brook Lopez, Hibbert, McGee, or Cousins. Teams aren't going to trade away young centers away for nothing though. They'd want something valuable in return.... meaning, if I can get anyone of these players by trading Martin or Scola, I'd do it.
Ignoring the impossible dream scenarios (Cousins, Gasol, Jordan, etc.), the Rockets IMO should draft Jonas Valanciunas unless, of course, they get a shot at a primo PG like Kyrie Irving or Brandon Knight. If the latter happens, they should pick up FA Kyrylo Fesenko for $3M or maybe $4M or trade for Javale McGee (which IMO is really a tamer version of the impossible dream). Also, considering the Thunder's plethora of young centers, BJ Mullens might be acquirable (Jeff Green + Mullens for Brooks + Hill).
If our starting unit could be kept untact.. we would need a defensive minded center, that would contribute to the other players and help maintain a balance with which Chuck Hayes brings. Mind you, this is all in thought - before/if - we bring in a superstar.
Why is there a sad face after Hayes name? Even though he is incredibly undersize, you're forgetting just how important he is to the Rockets. His defense is just incredible.
