    so seriously i dont get this at all what is all the commotion about here? I saw some of the videos i dont find the videos funny but i dont see anything up with them, they arent maddening or anything its just some kid singing a song as far as i can tell. so whats the big deal?

    The original song by the "kid" was not meant to be funny, but it was so ridiculously stupid that people started to parody it. Most people who watch one of the parodies on accident first usually don't find it funny cause they don't get it.

    On the Opie and Anthony interview embedded earlier, he mentions that the songs are cheesy, it's not like he's unaware. I hope he starts selling merchandise and people can "ironically" give him a ton of cash and he'll "ironically" laugh his way to the bank.

    OK, I have to admit that the original Chocolate Rain video is starting to grow on me. Every single "parody" I've heard sucks, though. Tay Zonday definitely has a career as a movie trailer voice in his future...

    That's the point... he's not taking himself seriously... listen to the Opie & Anthony video. Online he acts like he's serious about it, but he knows it's stupid.
