How it was deployed is based on investigative reports. Trust them or not, but my guess is you probably only trust what confirms your bias so I certainly won't bother. But you really have no ability to claim that SARS Cov 2 doesn't come from where it almost certainly comes from... which is a bat... which is much more likely to infect humans by interacting with our livestock or vegetation due to disturbances in natural habitats that it is that there would be such a massive breach of protocol in infectious disease control or an international conspiracy theory to take down Trump by the Chinese by releasing a deadly virus..... IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY.... with no vaccine to even profit from the conspiracy.

Arguing the Chinese conspiracy is a rabbit hole designed to distract and whine in the corner which lets the US & Trump off the hook for not taking any responsibility. If it came from a lab on accident because of incompetence then yeah... that's not good... NOBODY thinks that's a good thing, or excusable.... but the question is what is the US and the Trump administration doing to both prevent these inevitable pandemics, and what are they doing to put out the fire and protect American lives. Also... technically... it came from a F*CKING BAT. How it was first contracted is anyone's guess, but it could have been contracted 100 different ways. Initial investigations have pointed to patient 0 contracting at a wet market... believe that if you want... if you don't want to, it still doesn't change the fact that it came from a F-ing bat.

The Chinese conspiracy is not worth anyones time discussing. What is worth discussing is how the hell we get out of this without avoiding a million US deaths, and economic devastation that is destroying my personal wealth and income at the moment. No... Herd immunity is not an answer... that is the answer to my personal wealth being completely destroyed if this is a virus we just have to deal with for the next 5 years to achieve herd immunity.

If the argument is that the CCP covered it up and lied about how bad it was yes I agree. Their cover up was so bad that for once Chinese social media actually forced them to apologize to the family of Dr. Wen Ho Lee.

That's more reason why the idea that this is a bio weapon went to harm the US makes so little sense. The CCP hates to lose face and it was a humiliation that weakened them to apologize for Wen Ho Lee. Off the top of my head it's the only time I can think of the Xi regime apologized.

I think an accident is far more possible than an intentional release and especially that it was engineered to be a bio weapon.

Here's my order of probability:
1. It came from a natural source. Bats in Southern PRC either infected another animal and that animal infected a human and that human traveled to the Wuhan market.
2. A bat infected a human directly and that human traveled to the Wuhan market.
3. A farm animal that was infected was brought to the Wuhan market and from there it infected a human.
4. A wild animal that was infected was brought to the Wuhan market and from there it infected a human.
5. It was a virus that had been transmitted to humans a long time ago and mutated in Wuhan.
6. It was an accidental release of a wild virus that was being researched at the Wuhan lab.
7. It was an accidental release of a modified wild virus that was being researched at the Wuhan lab.
....
100. It was an engineered bio weapon intentionally released to bring down the US.

By the way, I think the Chinese scientist on Tucker misunderstood and meant it was intentionally manufactured, not intentionally released. She misunderstood and failed to answer a previous question. He asked if she knew how it leaked, and she answered about how it was manufactured.

My version of the story would be quite simple: they were fooling around making this stuff in a lab, for good or ill, and it got out.

 

I go with whatever Trump said....I am still waiting for his 100% proof it was lab created since....2 months ago. The man only tells the truth....So i don't believe this woman, but i do believe Trump....

The discussion in this thread is a narrative. Plain and simple. There’s no conversation on the right about actual solutions or what we need to do next to prevent the next outbreak. The narrative is only to serve one purpose....deflect blame away from Trump.

Some folks might find the science and pandemic origins fascinating. The majority though are like my father in law. Mad as hell and looking for any reason to blame the other or a Democrat for every problem in their life.

 

It's why I have a hard time fully identifying as a Liberal anymore. Too many crazy things that aren't liberal are now labeled liberal. But I am a socialist and very progressive.
