You see, you go on insulting my intelligence and my knowledge. I find it funny you tell me I am terrible in math considering I hold a degree in Physics.

But now you're back on the ignore list. Just after saying you'd stop the personal attacks you go right back to them.

    Never trust this guy folks.

Now I should add that your reading comprehension is poor as well. :D

In another thread, I told you that you are the only one I personally insulted on this board, in response to your multiple, blanket and generalized insults on certain ethnical group. I offered you a deal, saying if you drop that generalized insult, I will drop my calling out on you. You said clearly, NO DEAL.

I also offered my opinion why i think one should not throw out insult on generalized base, because one should only be responsible for himself, and only represents himself. Therefore, I would like to discuss case by case, and person by person.

I guess your credibility is on an all-time high.

As a side note, facing my facts list responding to your misintepretation of history and current events, you resort to whinning about personal insults - insulting your intelligence. It doesn't surprise me.

What is this? Another lie from New Yorker? Now why ain't I surprised? China attack an American AWACS plane? Funny thing that even the Americans say that ain't how it happened isn't it?

We know that the Americans were spying on the Chinese. We know the Chinese sent up two planes. Then we know they had a "booboo." Then the Americans say the Chinese plane caused the accident while the Chinese said the reverse. Funny how neither of them said they were attacked.

I think what is causing concern, is just how much money China is spending on military buildup. Everyone knows it's more than they are saying... but there are a lot of grumblings from defense experts that it is a LOT more than they are saying. One has to wonder why. I don't think we need to imply anything but think long and hard on that question. Why.

Also, all that beacon of freedom stuff sounds like a big load of crap after watching the actions of this country over the past few years. I don't know if there is anything to the AWACS story, but I do know we bombed the crap out of a Chinese embassy.... I think it was by mistake, but I'd give them a freebee on the AWACS story because of it.

I've certainly disagreed with our Chinese friends, or those of a Chinese background (self-proclaimed... certainly, one could support China and be a white guy from Boise, Idaho!) who support many of their positions, on numerous occasions in the past. Which I know they won't dispute, lol.

With all due respect, NewYorker, I just don't see how some of your recent actions here have made you credible enough to make that statement. By here, I mean in D&D, with the whole bizarre craziness playing out about your background. I thought the obsession with where people come from was over the top from the supporters of the PRC, but you shocked the heck out of me with your "revelations." And it's a bummer, because I've enjoyed the majority of your posts, and you're well informed on a host of things. You just seem a bit obsessed with some of these issues. Certainly, you shouldn't accuse "the other side" of being that way, when you consider your own posts.

Look at this thread... 424 posts (well, 425, now!), and 22 pages. I think what happened was tragic, and I think there is much about it that calls for further investigation, but you jumped on this like you were in the middle of the ocean, and this was a life preserver, in danger of floating away. You even started another thread with a poll, as if this wasn't enough. I've made my feelings about Tibet known in the past, and won't rehash them here. Maybe I'm wildly off-base about you. Maybe I'm not.

And maybe I should go to Hawaii to see the Rolling Stones. A friend is. Sounds really groovy.

Well, i think the Chinese embassy and AWACS incident is a wash. I'd agree to that.

Let us not forget the 1999 book written by two Chinese Colonels in the PLA called "unrestricted warfare" - how China can defeat the U.S. Clearly China sees us as an adversary to take down and is announcing itself as a threat. Tactics discussed include attacks on networks (computer) and attacking the u.s. financially - such as through currency manipulations (which China may already be practicing). Most scary of all is the discussion of terrorism. Remember - this book was written in 1999....it would not be too far reaching that China had a hand in assisting Al Qaeda. Of course, that's speculative but very sobering.

Let's not be naieve here - China is a belligerent nation and has certainly has strategies and thinking in place - that it may or may not be acting on - to hurt the U.S.'s standing in the world.

It's in our interest for China to move away from these kinds of things to a more peaceful and positive nation - one that values human life and openess...and doesn't see to cause us harm.

Well, if my credibility is ruined because of an attempt to cover-up my race as a means to be annoymous - well, then that's fine. You can see it that way - that's your choice. Congrats to you. I am sure you never made a mistake. But there's nothing I can do about it so there's no point in speaking further.

Now, this here is likely the most important debate in all of D&D, if anything in D&D is important that is. This isn't about the CHinese posters versus America....this is about perceptions of the world reality and how disturbingly out of sync they are.

I mean, this makes the differences between Republicans and Democrats look like Coke vs. Pepsi.

It's stark how nearly every Chinese poster here see's Tibet in a completely opposite way as nearly every American poster. It's absolutely shocking....and deserves a lot of attention.
