Sounds to me like an injury that should have been detected when they did the physical, and of which he knew. This is very annoying. Reason enough to void the contract? Probably not.
I believe the injury happened after the interview. Like the Chronicle report stated, he stated he hurt his back in Cleveland during workout. SupermanSK, good call. PS. Is there a purnishment by the NBA if a team fakes a physical examination or report of a player?
Since there wasn't a trade with Atlanta, what team faked a report? Since he was a FA, it was up to the Rocket personnel to examine him. And since this seems to be an annual thing, I'm wondering what quality of Drs Les is paying for? When will he realize these "cheap" signings are costing him money? Sura was my least favorite signing this summer - and remember - to put that into perspective, we signed Charlie Ward.
Okay, I was a little skeptical of this post at first but now that it's been confirmed, I gotta admit, it was a real scoop! Good Job!! (no mo' bad news, though )
Closing this thread since we have confirmation that he has a herniated disc in the Chronicle article thread.
