i am pretty sure the CBA officials have something to do with him not entering the draft.

If he's on the board for our second rounder I would definitely take him. I think there would not be a better situation than here in Houston for this kid. Despite JVG probably not giving him much playing time, the presence of Yao year round would really help this kid develop quickly.

Team Yao, Yao's personal managing team, also represents Yi. Those two are pretty close.

Yi would dunk like crazy on Yao if they went one on one.

You are dreaming. This one is for sure, Yao would completely shut Yi down on the defensive end, while destroy him on the offensive end. Yi doesn't have the skill/strength to match up against Yao.

Think about it, even Amare Stoudamire can't match up against Yao one-on-one. In the games between the Rockets and Suns, all of Stoudamire's dunks on Yao came from Yao's help D. When they got matched up one-on-one, Yao usually blocked the crap out of Stoudamire. Yi doesn't have the strength and explosiveness of Stoudamire. A match between Yao and Yi won't be pretty.

Yi is extremely overrated by scouts. He's got good physical attributes, but has below average basketball IQ. He can't speak English and don't have much inteligence like Yao to learn it well. This will make him struggle in communication. Don't be surprised if he one day become a slightly less athletic Stromile Swift with a better mid-range jumper

This is not true. CBA agrees his entering the draft. But his club Guangdong held him back. The GM initially agreed but the executive commity voted against it. They want to get more benifits from Yi

I still remember Amare went 0-8 and 1-12 matchup against Yao in that game (last season?). He was obviously trying to prove that he could score on Yao one on one, although he had failed miserably. :) But I give him credits for being relentless and kept trying to do it until the end of the game, at the expense of his own team though. :D

Yeah. But you can't stop those morons putting those 1 or 2 dunks in a video with stupid titles like 'Amare owns Yao'. The fools did do a good job of repeatedly showing the same dunk in fast forward mode from different angles in order to make it seem like Amare had dunked on Yao a thousand times.
