Dwight is nowhere near as good as yao. yao was pushing dwight around like a rag doll. had yao had enough supply, he would have embrassed dwight for the upteen time.
Why does trying to dunk on Yao automatically make Deron a jerk? Should he have just gently finger-rolled it into Yao's waiting hand? Any good NBA player should have a lot of aggressiveness in his game, and Deron's just doing what he should be doing: taking it strong to the rim. That said, I hope Yao knocks him flat on his ass the next time he comes strolling across the lane. Also, Artest and Dorsey can give him nice little elbows whenever they happen to pass by. This applies to all Jazz players, on or off the court.
In the future, hell yea Lebron is the best in the league/world. Right now it is without a shadow of a doubt Kobe. I don't think its fair to judge them by their international play in an almost meaningless game. Kobe can attack the rim too and is on occasion a lights out shooter. Jordan wasn't the best teammate but I don't think you'll argue that he was the greatest of his era.
i think if you poll GMs, they will say yao is the best C in the NBA. yao made all-nba 2nd team the past 2 yrs despite missing a lot of time and that tells you a lot. yao right now just is more refined with his offensive game. dwight is still dependent too much on his power game.
exactly. deron had the right to dunk on yao. on the other hand, yao had the right to knock him flat on his arse or elbow him just like deke would have done.
Howard is nowhere the player yao is. yao has him beat for footwork, shooting and overrall court awarness. stop embrassing you'reself.
Kobe "ball hogs" because he can and his team benefits from it. He is a good shooter. Lebron doesn't have that luxury. When people sag back and protect the paint, Lebron must attack and dish because he can not knock down that jumper, Kobe can.
Deron didn't do anything wrong, but there is such a thing as respect. With your team up 20 points, you just don't go dunking on someone of Yao's stature in his house. The same way you don't go dunking/scoring if you are up by 10 with 15 seconds to go. That being said, the reason that he even tried this cr ap is because Yao is just too nice.
LMAO.......more efficent offensively then yao...... I dont think so....... Yao has post moves no other NBA center has........ Dwight can block yes..........and is a huge pressence......but he isnt a good defender.........Blocking isnt everything Dwight has no post moves.........Just very athletic....Which is very good to have...... But he is not better than yao........ C'mon man.......
Prove it. Yao has more diversity on offense, extended shooting range, consistent FT shooter, wide range of offensive moves, hook shot, turnaround jumper, and clutch shooting.
You can second it all you want, Howard is more efficient offensively and is a beast on the boards/defense. He wouldnt fit well on the rockets, but overall hes a better player.
hes 28 and hes injury prone. He needs to prove himself while Howard was a beast last season. Just look at the stats by themselves
Kobe is a streaky shooter. big difference.if he replicates this performance against a team like spain, they wont be so lucky. he's shot selection is horrendus.
The Chinese guard play is maybe the worst I have ever seen. Numbers 4, 5, and 6 were especially bad. They kept thinking that they could cross-over the US guards, but failed miserably, and REFUSED TO PASS THE BALL. Steve Francis thought those guys were ball hogs and crazy dribblers. Did you see them get stuck at half court and refuse to pass, over and over??? How many times did Yao or Yi Jian Li get the ball in the post??? Maybe 5 times in the whole game???? Yao touched the ball probably 12 times in the whole game, and only took 9 shots. If the Chinese team would pass the ball, if they had a point guard as good as Rafer, they would be tough. As it stands, they will NEVER win a medal this year. NEVER gonna happen. Poor Yao.
Seriously, how is Kobe better? Stats? Nope! Was Kobe able to take the Lakers out of the first round without Shaq? Nope! Did Lebron? All the way to the finals! All by himself! Granted Cavaliers are in an easier conference, but Detroit is a great team that basically again Lebron beat all by himself.
