I'm about to fly to China myself and personally take Yi out of the game. He looks absolutely awful. NOTHING offensively, stupid fouls, stupid turnovers, not rebounding and most certainly isn't playing like an NBA lottery pick. He's getting owned by a team that features what...three big men? Very disappointing.
If they are only going to be shooting 3s and not pass to Yao, then Yao doesn't need to be in the game. Yao can rest, and Yi can stand in the middle and be ignored.
Pressing a team with horrendous guard play like China is too obvious. Of course, Coach K. will get glorified like he's a genius for figuring this out. This press has Team China completely baffled.
come on. cut the kid a little slack. he is in a real bad position right now. too slow to cover the 4 since US is going small.
You gottal feel for Yao. Probably the biggest game of his life thus far, and his guards are either putting on their personal And1 show, losing the ball, or setting up Yao so far outside the blocks that he has to throw up hooks. I wonder if Yao will rip his team at halftime.
chinese guards are so pathetic, come on a little pressure and they throw the ball away, dribbling the ball is the fundamental thing you learn from BB 101, how come these guys dribble the ball like their heads were cut off, doesn't the coach realize they cannot have any chance in a fast pace game, they need to do slow mo half court low post play which will minimize their pathetic slow reflexes.
nah. it's not like he didn't know this coming in. as long as everyone give their best effort, he is happy. i say, we did decent in the 1st half.
If i was in charge of the ministry of defense, I would call in the entire team, minus yao, and make them watch 48 straight hours of gossip girl as punishment! how dare they not feed the ball into the post.
