How tall is that guy? It looks like me trying to guard Yao and I'm pretty damn short. BTW, these games just seem like practices and conditioning to Yao. I think this is a good way of rehabbing after his surgery.
Next time please give a warning mentioning "NOT WORK SAFE." before posting something like this. I almost lost my job for "disrupting work environment."
We could see this in NBA - Just put Boykins in that guy's place. BTW, I think that guy is the Taiwan (Or 'Chinese Taipei', not 'Taipei', please respect a country) team's PG.
That little Taipei(not to get political, but the team is playing under the name of Taipei?) player is a point guard at 5-10. The only real competition for Yao is to deal with undersized triple or quadruple teams in these games.
Since when? In reality they are independent and have an elected president (who visits the U.S. sometimes) and a democratic government.
Taiwan belonged to China, belonged to Japan, then returned to China after WWII, by the treaties Japan signed with China. Taiwan has never, ever declared independence. Taiwan still calls itself the Republic of China, which is one of the reasons why it's impossible for Taiwan to declare independence right now. The republic of China was a regime found in China as the succesor after the collapse of the Qing dynasty. It was the universally acknowledged regime of China, found to operate on Chinese's land, and to serve the interest of Chinese. Taiwan needs to first stop calling itself the Republic of China, then declare independence to start its process of independence, so far it has done neither. Texas has an elected government and a democratic state government, it doesn't mean Texas is a country. Finally, the USA doesn't acknowledge Taiwan as a country, but a part of China. The most countries in the world, and the United Nations, hold the same position. Not wanting to detract this thread, but I think the insistence on the wrong perception regarding Taiwan's status deserves a reply here. I hope posters can refrain from bringing in politics sensitive to Chinese posters on this board. This kind of stuff belongs to the D&D forum.
Oh boy. Can we cool it with the political mumbo-jumbo. I'm sure there's any number of sites out there that you can mix it up.
The Treaty of San Francisco was signed by Japan with the Allied countries ceasing control over a number of countries including Taiwan. It never explicitly states who the countries would be given to. As for control of Taiwan.....The KMT who lost the civil war in China and then fled to Taiwan and ruled with martial law for a number of years. But now they are no longer the dominant political party and there has since been a democratic government with a fully elected president. Comparing Taiwan to Texas is ludicrous becaues it isn't like Texas has a president. Its government is a subset of the United States government. http://www.answers.com/topic/treaty-of-peace-with-japan
I don't know what kind of history you've been taught. Go back check what Powell said: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,136711,00.html
Oh sure. The elected president is called the President of Republic of China. Not President of Taiwan. Besides, the constitution of Republic of China still includes Mainland.
