It's so stupid. Soccer games bore me to death. I don't understand why people are excited about 0-0 games.

As long as there is baseball, soccer wont be the most boring game. US soccer is boring though, so is China's. :D

Back in the day when the arabian pele was the shizznit, saudi soccer was awesome, especially the 94 olympics. I dunno what happend aferwords, things went downhill, FAST

As for teh basketball team, this is what happens when you dont let players from other countries play on the national team (saudi doesnt give out citizenship to foreigners)

same reason people love 1-0 baseball scores, or 0-0 hockey games, or 7-0 football games.

high scoring doesnt mean fun to watch - just take alook at wnba. id rather watch baseball, hockey, and soccer all day than one game of wnba basketball.

You meant 94 world cup. Suadi was a surprise then, they made it to the top 16, beating a prettey good Belgium team. Saudi's soccer is top 3 in Asia, not much else though.

Only a naive person will sound this way.

When will folks understand that you are not supposed to like all sports?

You just have to respect your neighbor's preferences. It is like an English saying he hates American football or baseball - it is silly to sound that way because it is not something he or she grew up with culturally.

Have you stopped to think that if I grew up in anywhere but the USA that you view of football or soccer might be different? That gose for non Americans who do not like American past-times.

It is really childish to worry about other sports.Silly Jim Rome and Dan Patrick do this puerile thing as well (unproffesional dimwits). If it does not interest you simply turn off or simply move on. Like CMurph always say - "everything is not for everybody".

    Spread this message please.

I believe there were two asian teams once, that hated each other so much, they refused to play each other. finals score was 3:2. Both teams kept throwing the ball out of bounds on purpose. But I guess one player decided to score. Not sure. But I'm positive I saw this on ESPN highlights.

98-10!!! Oh my god that's just a straight up massacre. Why did they even bother playing if they sucked this bad.

One thing about US sports, hands gotta be part of the game. Also, there are clear offense and defense turns in America sports, maybe not so much for basketball. In soccer, the game is fluid, there is no clear offense or defense turn, that's the beauty. In a high quality soccer match, the pace is almost breath taking. On top of my head, last year Europen cup, Cech vs Holland was a great match. England vs Argentina, England vs Germany is always fun. Club level, there are too many rivaries. There has to be a reason why soccer is the #1 sports in the world. I just wish more people could have a chance to enjoy soccer. It's really fun to watch. Of course, there are boring matches, so are there for other sports.

wow, I meant WOW! I have seen some ugly basketball games in my time, but I think even my highschool's team can score more than 10 points against a Yaoless CNT.

Not even close. Even if you count all the casual fans, it doesn't add up to the number of ping pong fans, especially if you consider how many people in China who actually play basketball compared to those that play ping pong.
