There shows what average American value is: Alex Hannum > 20 million lifes. Just great. How about Alex Hannum > Japanese War Sharine > Holocaust >>>> 9/11?
Follow me: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=2465154#post2465154 you're welcome, canoner2002.
It was a stupid comparison. It is not like you can pick any two things and put ">", "<", or "=" between them. What do you put between Alex Hannum and 9/11?
canoner, sam is right. There's a more appropriate forum to discuss Japan War Shrine. Too bad Sam himself did the similar kind of derailing in GARM before, more than once. So I find his mod-like action quite amusing.
That is why I said "this is off topic" in the first place. You don't have to respond. But really, this administration makes a big fuss about Iranians denying Holocaust, but says nothing about Japanese teaching their kids that WWII was their effort to save Asia from American imperialism? I didn't start it for nothing. I suspected that the host Japanese paid off refs to give Yao a hard time. That is related to Rox, isn't it? Bribery is not rare in sports, especially in Asia. Remember how Koreans soccer team bribed their way into final 4 in the 2002 world cup?
Hmm, People's daily! You don't need to ask me about its credibility on these forums, do you? OK, now since I can read Chinese myself, I concede that Yao did say that "5 vs 8" in Madarin to the Chinese reporters. But the fact remains he didn't make such a allegation to any foreign media and I doubt he would.
I don't recall participating in any discussion of the Japanese war shrine here before today. I agree it is off topic. The only reason I brought it up is because the game is played in Japan and Yao is misstreated, which made me think Japanese played dirty tricks under the table, which triggered my complaint about how immoral Japanese are and how we are turning a blind eye on that.
You could address it in the appropriate forum, it's called the "D&D"...and bring your boxing gloves to the fight, you will need it...
As much as i hate the Japanese war shrine incidents, you have to remember the Japanese are also Asians and most of them from what i see are behind the Chinese national team....... You might as well said that the europeans hate the chinese in this case! A lose is a lose, the chinese should have won this game but they let it go away themselves because they are just not that good. Dont blame the referees or the japanese for this lose!! World Peace!
You think all Asians love each other? You don't know history and you don't know current reality. Japanese hate Chinese and Koreans, Chinese and Koreans hate Japanese. That hatred is probably deeper than the one between Jews and Palastinians, or the one between Americans and Muslims. A recent poll in Japan showed that 4 out of 5 Japanese dislike Chinese, and I can only imagine that a higher percentage of Chinese dislike Japanese in return. I don't care too much about the game result. If CNT doesn't get into next round, which looks almost certain, then Yao has a better schedule to get himself ready for the coming season. This CNT team is a joke.
Take it easy, buddy. For whatever reason, Yao's been consistantly screwed up by refs, NBA or international. I think he and his team should accept this situation, and find a smarter way (as JVG said) to deal with it. Maybe he can get some advice from Shaq? Since they seem to be such good friends now.
Well in any case, the latest news has it that the Chinese Basketball Association is contemplating to appeal/protest for this game with the Puerto Ricans to FIBA board panel, knowing that for whatever outcome from FIBA committee meeting, it won't change the end result of this game. But regardless, Yao Ming, the players, the coach and the whole Chinese fans/community were very very upset and unhappy about the officiating of this game.
CNT already filed a complain to FIBA and FIBA is gonna extend their next meeting from 1 hour to 2 hours just for discussion of this case, right? Well, we'll see.
