    I hope Li Nan is back. If he keeps hitting, we can spread Italy's interior defense and give Yao more easy baskets

    BTW, Yao won't get easy basket because he has been doubled all the time so far. Italy does not give a damn about outside shooting by CNT even if Li goes 20-20.

    Chinese efforts are futile. They have no one except yao ming who can do anything. it doesnt matter who have they have as coach, as all teams know that the chinese cannot handle the pressure that the guards are facing.
    Yao, as good as he may be cannot beat a team on his own. Only way they can qualify now is by beating serbia, and hope NZ lose to spain. I am not sure that Serbia will lose to the CNT and finish bottom of the group.

    See the last sequence? Yao was tripled immediately after he got the ball inside the paint. Good lord Mo knows how to dunk with no one on him. So far poor Yao is only 2-3 due to the pressure D he faces.

    Down 18 after 1st half. Good luck. I am out.

    Assume CNT loses this one, NZ, China and SM will all be 1-3. The last games for them are China vs SM and NZ vs Spain. I hope Spain won't send out 2nd stringers. Otherwise, China will have no chance. Having said that, I think CNT will lose to SM. :(

    The CNT are shooting at 26% from the field. That is just not acceptable at this type of tournament and also with the meaning of this game. They also have 11 TO's and its still only the second quarter.
    In comparison, the Italians are shooting 62% and have only 6 TO's.
    With this type of play, the CNT have no chance, especially since Yao is being extremely well covered by the looks of things.

    Actually, it doesn't matter if NZ beats Spain. Because if China beats SM, then its record will tie with NZ only. The only differentials that count will be the NZ vs China game. Since China won that game, they win the tie-breaker. So as absurd as it is, CNT is still pretty much in the hunt for quarterfinals!

    they way the chinese are playin, do u think they have any chance to defeat Serbia?? I will be glad they lose to Serbia by 10 points cos i m expectin another 25poins lose
