Falsone works for the CBA too. They hired him to work with the team until the Olympics in 2008. He works for Yao and the national team, seperate jobs.

It was on TV here in the states back in April or so.

He has done a great job with Yao and a it looks like a few others. Hopefully in a few years he can help more players develop through proper NBA type of training.

I also root for China, but in fact they will be defeated by Greece who play better than China.
You need rest more than points & rebs.

It's hard to see China beating Greece, but w/ Yao anything is possible. Put him down for 30/10. Good luck to both teams, and, please, no injuries ot Yao or Vspan.

In another thread about a week ago, someone posted a link to download TVU Player. It's great! Watching the China vs. Slovenia game was a treat. Try to Google it. I don't remember which thread the link was in.

Seems like there is something called PPlive or something like that. Tried it last year and it was terrible.

If I understand correctly, Kelly is a Bulls fan foremost. He may or may not be a fan of Rockets, but he certainly loves CF.net.

I'm sorry but there's no way this person has seen Greece play. That's why I have a problem with this article, not because he has an opinion I don't agree with.

I love Yao. But after I watched a Greece game, I have to admit that the Chinese team won't have much chance against their perimeter game. The Greeks may not be able to score inside against Yao. But they are going to drop 30 3-pters if the Chinese perimeter defense doesn't improve.

Why u keep on saying Team China doesnt have any chance to advance to quarter final? Now, it's playoff. Anything can happen.

Yeah, Yao played 40 mins and even Yao himself didnt expect that. It's a tough call for the coach too. I was cussing the coach all the game wondering why Yao didnt have a 2/3 mins break to let him have some gas to finish the game. But thats the way it worked out.

Also, this win is "something" for the CNT. It's a big confidence booster for the CNT. Before this win, I would say Greece vs China is a 55/45 game. But after this win, I'll say Greece vs China is a 50/50 game. I am waiting to see another CNT classic moment on Sunday.

Did you REALLY watch how the Chinese played in 3Q and 4Q ??

In the interior, the Slovenian front court (Radoslav Nesterovic, Uros Slokar, Primoz Brezec and Marko Milic) were sort of suffocated and shutdown by Yao Ming and Wang Zhizhi.....

Out in the exterior, Beno Udrih (San Antonio Spurs), their point guard who had an average of 9.8 points in this World Championship, was subdued to 6 points only.

Jaka Lakovic, from Greek champion Panathinaikos, averaging 13 ppg, was also limited to 9 points.

Poor Bostjan Nachbar, another NBAer, who is averaging 10 ppg, was limited to zero points (0/5 FG%)...........

And there goes at least some 20 points from the Slovenia point guards/small forwards just from the exterior............

Yeah, even though the Chinese sux in perimeter defense in previous games, definitely in the last 2 quarters of the Slovenian game, they played pretty coherent like a team, played some tight one-on-one and zone defense, covering and help defending each other out.....IMHO they are gelling and getting better and better on defense as well.

Some interesting stats about Team Greece:

Greece shot only 30.8% (Ranked 17th in 24 teams) from 3-point line in this WC which is worse than any of the 5 teams that CNT has played against.

However, Greece has 3rd highest overall FG% of 57.9%, Spain (59.9%) and USA (59.1%) are 1st and 2nd. Argentina is 57.0%. Disregarding their below average 3FG%, team Greece's 2FG% is 84.9%!!! BTW, would that be the best in 24 teams? No way! Argentina's 2FG% is 90.2%!!!!!!!

Greece ranked 21st in 3-point attempt among 24 teams. The 22nd to 24th teams are Serbia, Senegal and Panama.

Greece ranked 11th in total points in 24 teams, as a group leader. The other 3 group leaders are USA (#1), Spain (#2) and Argentina (#3). BTW, CNT ranked 7th in this category.

Greece ranked 2nd in FTA (147), the first is USA (171)

    Here is the source.
