Is the FIBA website run by some English illiterate?

    What is "EIGHT-FINALS"?

I don't know, I'll just search my TV's EPG before the game starts.

I think China is going to get destroyed.

Not as bad as the ass whooping the USA gave China, but I don't think this one is going to be close.

Root for our rising superstar or a guy who has yet to put on a Rocket's jersey? Hmm...of course I'm rooting for Yao. Although, I think China used up about every ounce of luck they had in defeating Slovenia. I'd prepare for an ass whooping.

... read the sentence... "I may be passing the ball"... "I maybe passing the ball"

They have different attitudes, meaning, but geez, the way you're reading it won't even be remotely correct, gramatically.

    Couple interesting notes:

Greece had a great record but many close games--not dominating performances.

Greece doesn't have a single 7-footer on the roster

Greece couldn't contain Andrew Bogut and BARELY beat the Australian team the Chinese beat in Yao's early recovery (before the Worlds)

My prediction: Yao dominates on O and shuts down penetration on D...China with the upset! 38 and 13 for YAO :D

I watched part of the China-Slovenia game today on ESPN. I was surprised to see that Slovenia had four NBA players on their team (Nesterovic, Udrih, Nachbar, and Brezec) and STILL lost to Team China! So I won't be surprised when Yao Ming drops 40 pts and 15 rbs on them in an upset ;)

Remember Slovenia is the one team that beat Greece during it's Euro championship run last year.

So Yao has to have crazy numbers in every game for his team to have a chance to win. Talking about pressure here. The CNT is as much an one-man team as you can get.

I think Yao is going to play another 40 minutes non-stop game against. Is this part of his stamina training for next season?

Don't be haters...remember that China beat Serbia-Montenegro in the Olympics. Greece is good but not dominant.

Not really. China do have a chance. Still remember China beat Australia. Look at what Australia did to Greece.

Australia led Greece 69-66 with 19 seconds remaining, only to watch Fotsis and Nikos Zisis knock down back-to-back 3-pointers to steal the victory. Unfortunately for the Greeks, Zisis is out for the remainder of the tournament after a collision with Varejao broke three bones in his face.

China could possibly win against Greece with Yao playing big minutes. Another 40 minutes?
