    Thanks much Pryuen.

I am very curious if you can find out any information about the SINA article that says the Rockets doctors didn't want Yao to play in this tournament.

This is either true or not, but if true is a huge problem for Yao fans to think the CBA would overule the Rocket doctors after saying publicly they would defer to their judgment. Can you find out any more on this please?

Again thanks for all of your efforts.

Somone has posted this on youtube. Highlights of both Yi Jianlian (# 11) and Chen Jianghua (# 18) in the game with USA in Guangzhou, even though it was a total blow-out.

    be humorous..... don't be sensitive.......

Yao played ok since he had only attended training for 5 days.

Yi performed excellent at 1st half for controlling Dirk and grabbed 9 rebs.

But Dirk was just too hot to stop at 2nd half....

I'm just happy that Yao is playing again. Wasn't he supposed to be sidelined for longer than this?

Dirka is still Karla Malone II.

Yao returns in loss for China

NANJING, China (AP) -Yao Ming's back! Too bad Dirk Nowitzki had to spoil the party.

Yao scored 11 points for China in his return from a four-month layoff because of a foot injury, losing 82-73 Friday to Germany in a warmup for the World Championships.

Nowitzki racked up 27 points, including 18 in the final quarter, scoring nearly at will against Yao and almost every other Chinese player.

Yao fired up early, winning a huge cheer from the home crowd with a mighty slam at the start of the first quarter.

With Yao back, China looked like a completely different team from the one that got slammed 119-73 by the United States on Monday.

"Obviously Yao Ming is a great player. He's one of the best centers in the world, but I was very impressed with the whole team,'' German player Patrick Femerling said. "They're very mobile, agile and versatile players.''

Femerling added 10 points for the European championship runners-up. Nowitzki, who had a 12 rebounds, started the night looking a little rusty and needed time to find his rhythm.

Germany took a 58-49 lead into the fourth quarter. China tried to keep things close, but the Dallas Mavericks star, who gave Yao of the Houston Rockets a playful slap on the chest at the start, dominated.

"He's so good in one-on-one situations, he can always get a shot off,'' Germany coach Dirk Bauermann said. "And he knows when his best is needed the most. That was vintage Dirk Nowitzki.''

China coach Jonas Kazlauskaz said he expects better results once Yao gets more practice with his teammates.

"With Yao on the court, the rest of the team also began to improve,'' Kazlauskaz said. "Still we have some problems, but it was much better.''

Yao looks like he is suffering from bipolar affective disorder in these pictures. He seems like the only person care about the game in the whole stadium!

Pryuen, you know I am kidding, so please don't shoot me. :p

Seriously, if the other players in CNT have 50% of Yao's determination and dedication to each and every game, our national team will look a lot different. :(

Am I the only one who thinks its an insult that a sissy like Dirk playfully slaps Yao on the chest then goes out and single handedly wins the game for the Germans in Yao's home country. You can't let p*****s like that be on the sort of level with you to where they feel at liberty to be your buddy one minute and then go out and destroy you the next minute. this isn't Jordan we are talking about here, it's Dirk, look down on him, slap the back of his neck like he's YOUR playcousin, then rip his heart out on the court.

Yes you are the only one. It is his first game back from injury. He can't rip anybody's heart yet and it's not safe to be superman on his first game back. He can worry about it when he is in game shape ... right now he needs to worry getting comfortable with his foot and finding his second wind.

    Yeah, like the Dog Whisperer.

Dogs like Dirk may be seem harmless and friendly but you can't let them walk around you with their tails up, you have to show them who's boss, who's the leader of the pack. See thats what Dirk did, he got Yao in a calm sumbissive state with a playfull pat on the chest and psychologically had Yao under his control from then on. He didn't have to face off against an aggressive strong willed Yao, not after that playful tap and a few kind words.

Yao needs to be the dog that is the leader of the pack. Not a dog who wants his belly rubbed. Next time maybe he won't fall for that.
