ALSO for 24 second, he handles the ball/stand there for 18 second and only pass it when 2 guys coming at him..... we all have seen it way too many times. He has to learn when to pass/how to pass/where to pass. He is not Tracy McGrady on that team.
-One three pointer, he fell trying to make a layup and the German guy shot it before he was back on defense. -The second three he actually played defense. The other just sank it in his face. I don't think Liu Wei would've made a difference. Versus Angola, he comes in and right way there was a great pass to Yi for a dunk. He then gets fouled twice in a row going in for layups. Who cares what other people think? I've watched all the CNT games this Olympics. He makes turnovers but so does Liu. Liu freaking gets the ball taken from him during a standing dribble, that's pathetic. Chen needs to keep playing so he can develop basketball IQ and smarter passing. Liu Wei's not a point guard, he's a one trick pony who knows how to gently pass to Yao. What if Yao wasn't there, or not on the court?

Liu Wei of course.......I know Chen wouldnt have dirbbled the ball off his leg like Wei did vs Spain........he hits the occassional three but that's it.........CHen had 1 turnover today and the german guard hit the 3 cause his idiot teammates didnt pick him up..........the other 3 the German guard hit, Chen was right in his face, maybe even fouled him cause he knocked him down.
you cant argue Chen makes more critical turnover than Wei........the only reason chinese fans think he handles the ball too much is probably because they've never seen a chinese guy take more than 3-4 dribbles forward without losing the ball
That just tells you how horrible the chineese guards . everyone besides yao on that team are a bunch of scrubs. yi has to be the most overrated prospect i've ever seen. makes darko look good.
I don't get why China doesn't just go after a decent foreign player or two to help their national team, it's not like everyone else isn't doing it. They themselves have had foreign coaches for their bbal teams for years.
as a chinese ,i have to say chinese pgs sucks. if we have one pg like rafer, we can beat spain , german, easily or at least not that hard to play but i really like #9 sun yue, was signed 2 years contracts by lakers he played well ,he can shoot ,rebound and those amazing blocks(one on d.howard) i hope he can get more minutes to play in lakers. yi played soso , but he did good on rebounds wang zhizhi, i still think he is best in china. without him, we can't see yao today playing in nba, back to old time, yao is a fan of wang zhizhi, he learned a lot from wang. but i can't figure out why wang couldn't survive in nba! and yao, he did his great job, play good d on kaman. poor kaman why you chose to join german??? after the game, alot ppl talk to me about the ref. honestly, i think ref did good job( not cuz we won) even in nba , we always talk about refs, i like rockets and i saw too many unfair judges on rockets. anyway, it's a good day for chinese team fans. i hope our team can do better on later games. and i wish yao ,tracy and ron can help rockets bring the new nba season title back to h-town. i live in toronto, but i will support rockets when they come to AIR CANADA CENTER!!!! it's time rockets!!!!!!!

maybe cost a lot i guess get a good player from other country may level-up our team but they can't help our players to be level-uped, i think there is old saying in china: we can't get water from far place to solve thirsty lol

yea, this guy looks like a lil bit lazy on court in the old days, seems what tracy do he is great offensive play now i turn to sun yue, i can remember all his big blocks if china want to win more games, the guards have to be well trained!!!
yea, what we need do is find more youngsters and send them to high-level leagues to develop. sun yue is a good example, he was like today's liu,wei and chen, jianghua. after trained by aba, he is totally getting better than the old days.
