Korean Chicken fighting, really a fun game (in response to the baseball video):

As for the Brazil/China fight, I think the Muay Thai was in reference to the knee strike, not the flailing arms...

In any case, international play seems to be a lot more chippy in general, partly because the refs let teams get away with more and partly because there seems to be a lot more pride (national as opposed to team) in these international competitions.

Hey, first of all, how many posts in this thread are really serious?

And I am not the first one who joked that it is Muay Thai. rocketsjudoka, who is a martial artist, said it first.

Oh, btw, it is called "Mauy Thai", not "muy thai", you idiot.

They MAD?! Chinese team looked like a bunch of punks there. Kept escalating the confrontation. Built of frustration from something?

    nevermind, i just checked...

it seems like a Brazilian hard fouled one of the chinese player and gave him a concussion but there was no no call by the ref. i think they got seriously pissed and things got out of hand after that when the ref lost control of the game with hard fouls by both sides. the coach obviously didn't help matters too with his ranting

I said Muay Thai in reference to the knee shot and not the flailing.

Those Brazilians should have used Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to counter China's Muay Thai attacks. I think the players on both China and Brazil are auditioning for "The Ultimate Fighter" and can take and beat James Toney in an MMA cagefight.

If you have watched the video carefully, the Bazailian small guy taunted the Chinese bench, which caused the Chinese bench emptied. I call that escalating the confrontation. And taunting has caused fights in the NBA before too.

But still, there is no excuse for such on court behavior. All these players are thugs, and so are any other players in the world who have fought on the court before.

That's a classy move by the Chinese. Fans can rationalize all they want, but what's wrong is wrong, and what's right is right.

They live in an oppressed society where punishment is super severe for such fights. This is probably the only time these guys can ever fight in their lives with no severe punishment.

you ever been there? fights way worse than these happens everywhere on daily basis. in my middle school, teachers and students would get in physical fights at school ground. nothing happens. you are probably talking about in US where you would get arrested for assaults.
