its amazing to me how bad the CNT is at shooting... chinese are usually really good at things that involve repetition. right now, they are by far the worst 3 pt shooting team in the Olympics..

they need to stop starting liu wei and ji jianlin... they suck.
a pg who can't handle.. and a pf who is only borderline good at rebounding.
they should have start guo and mo ke instead.

the whole chiense team defense is atrocious.
how many times did argentina shoot like 2 feet from the basket?
what kind of zone is that when people causally walk in for a layup??

It is a pain to watch this game as a basketball fan.

And the offense... I am just going to save my breath.

I am thinking at what point does the audience in front of the TV set just get a plane ticket to Athens and check themselves in for the pathetic CNT.

It's no coincidence that the teams who can't hit the 3 pointers are the ones struggling.

I knew after they kept talking about the guards not getting the ball to Yao Ming, they were gonna make a Steve Francis/Cuttino Mobley comment. It was so predictable. I kept asking myself when are they goning say it.

Chinese players do quit on defense. I watched it myself.

And they don't always run the plays, they jack up shots.

Why do the Chinese basketball camps not make the Chinese players shoot a few hundred jumpers every day? Precision and repetition should be the primary characteristic of Chinese players, and it's almost ridiculous how inaccurate the Chinese basketball players are. If the Chinese are to ever win in basketball, it's gotta be through accuracy from long-range because there's no way any Chinese basketball team wins with athleticism or quickness.

It looks like the folks on the Chinese national team were picked from a YMCA in Chinatown.

Maybe Yao can bring them back in the next 2. We are all pulling for China.
