My heart goes out to you. That is no way to be treated. Hard to believe so many get into marriages with people that would do this. The system needs repair.
You just never know what's going to make someone change or when they're just going to decide that things should be different. My ex-wife and I had a couple of years of contentiousness after she left me, and then it calmed down and we had a pretty good relationship for a long time. Things went bad again almost right after my daughter with my second wife was born. I don't know if my daughter being born was part of the cause for the change, or if it was my older son graduating high school and leaving the house or what. But there were nearly 12 years in there where we got along just fine and I saw my boys very often. So, you just never know.
Holy *****...that sux...I pay my child support but don't think it all goes to the kids becuase it doesn't...my ex is being a b*tch and i pay over and above my obligation... I thought about the lump sum too, but after reading that, I don't think I'll go that route... Well, as for you Luckkky, man, that's tough...that's a lot and maybe you need to go back and redo the math and adjust your expenses...I thought one kid was 10%, two kids 20% and so on...
You said earlier you was paying 20%, which leaves you with 2600 left. Yousaid after you pay your bills you have 72 left each month. You might have to change your expenses because you have over 2500 in bills you are overexpanding your budget.
