WHAT??? Blown out of proportion? I would hope that this "media witch hunt" will prevent other kids from experiences this situation! Kids that need to have their behinds "wore out" have parents that need to be torn into 10 times as bad. If the ground rules would have been laid early and often, kids would know their expected behavior. When it gets to this point, the behavior is a habit, and the parents have to work hard to correct something that should have been taught correctly in the first place...AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CHILD! No "TAD" about it. She clearly went overboard. "No proof?" "A figure of another person"...give me a break. Two things to take note of hear. Many defense lawyers will do anything for the almighty dollar, and if our justice sytem allows this creature to walk, I will completely lose faith in our justice system. Was the child injured at all? If you're shot at and not "hit" or seriously injured, isn't the shooter held liable for attempted murder? If the creature had connected with some of the blows, what kind of damage would have occured? It's not even a matter of making an example of this creature. It's a matter of laying the ground rules in child abuse. She wanted to beat this child. Why else would she look around, make sure no one was looking and then take those swings...Tae Bo?
Kagy, you rule. River, have you seen the footage of the mother beating (or at least attempting to beat) the child? I hope not, because I can't imagine a person being able to argue against taking the child away from the mother after having seen that sickening video. It churned my stomach that a person could be so malicious and violent towards a 4 year old.
Point taken RocksMillineum, I have had cable/sat for so long I take it for granted these days. The child is not without options if the "egg-incubator" is thrown in jail...she has a father and grandparents AFAIK..it isnt a forgone conclusion that she will end up permanently in the system. ArtV, what's this about her gettin lost? I don't recall hearing about this.. River, I wonder about you sometimes..does *everything* have to be about race? and last but not least....
