I don't plan on watching it, but I do read a lot of tv blogs. MTV's Jersey Shore is like the RealWorld but with guidos only. Though it seems everyone on this show is an a-hole who deserves to get punched, in that instance this Snooki chick didn't really do anything wrong. The gym teacher guy was drunk and stealing drinks off the bar and when she called him on it he punched her. In a begrudging way, I tip my hat to MTV because that doesn't happen til later in the season but by teasing it last night they've gotten a crap load of hype and attention for this trashy show.
People are taking this show way to seriously to enjoy and be entertained by it. Just take it for what it is--a bunch of guidos and their gals running around doing stupid things. When you look at it this way, you'll enjoy it more.

Seriously, as long as you understand that it's a show about mouth-breathing douches, it's so easy to love! I still can't get over the fact that there's actually a guy on there who's named himself The Situation, and people don't even question it! They just accept it as fact, and call him that!!
Can't see the link from my yob, but I'm sure its the "Jersey Shore" deal. Those major d bags and hookers are so lame and into themselves, my boy was watching it the other day just to get a good laugh. Do they realize how douchey they actually look and how much they provide proof to the italian stereotype? Idots.
Once age and reality hits them, most of these clowns will be the security guards that New Jersey malls need. DD
They are definitely there to be laughed at...but i can't watch shows like that because even though they are ridiculous and stupid, it just gets too damn annoying. whats so weird about that...my coworkers call me DonkeyMagic
agreed. they are so very pretentious that you can't help to laugh at these people (no offense when saying "these people"). it's like watching someone faceplant after doing something really stupid that they shouldn't have been doing in the first place.
You should never ever hit a woman, but with that being said I will bet she never sticks her nose into anyone elses business again. DD
Damn, thats F'd up to hit a woman like that, either way, that show is a joke. Straight up douchebags.
I in no way condone this guys' action, but it may end up for the best for the girl involved. At some point in her life she needed to get punched in the phase - ideally, metaphorically, but now she's been punched for real and will probably think twice about being so annoying in the future.
What is a sucker punch? I don't think I know what it is. When I was younger they only called it a sucker punch if you hit someone in the back of the head or on the side of the head when they weren't looking. Honest question. If you throw the first punch, when is it not considered a sucker punch? Oh, and this guy is a B**ch.
I think a sucker punch is when you hit someone without them knowing it is coming. It is pretty much standard operating procedure to give someone notice that you're gonna beat their ass before initiating anything, unless that person is armed/robbing you, etc.
for all intents and purposes it was a sucker punch because she had no earthly idea that he would jack her. that's what made it so funny.
Im actually enjoying this show, haha...its entertaining. The girls do suck though...and the guys, even though they have their douchey moments, they seem pretty chill and theyre funny to watch. Snooki getting popped was pretty shocking to see on the preview last night...she annoys the hell out of me, but damn, shouldnt get popped like that. Hope the dude gets his ass kicked somewhere down the line.
I guess it's a little different because she's a woman and there shouldn't be a reason for her to worry about some guy hitting her like that. I'm a pretty calm person and I never really get into the 30 min shouting matches before a fight, so when I was in fights growing up they looked similar to this.
