You are either out of your mind or know nothing about basketball. As a rookie, Gordon lead the NBA last year in 4th quarter scoring. He's carrying the Bulls tonight with 35 points. Try actually watching NBA basketball for a change. If you were just joking, sorry.
You've just completely discredited yourself, so don't expect anyone to take anything you say in the future seriously. Unless you're joking around, of course? Ben Gordon as a starter is already one of the best SG in the league.
Chicago definitely has the goods to trade for a player like KG. Hinrich Gordon Deng Nocioni Chandler (bad contract but still a big man) Duhon Let's not forget they have the #2 pick as well. If I were the Wolves and looking to deal KG. A package of Gordon, Deng, and the #2 pick would be nice. You get a nice, young, and talented duo in Gordon and Deng, and you could also pickup a bigman in the draft w/ the #2. As for the Bulls, I would have to think about it before dealing the young guys but bringing in KG could change things around instantly for them.
Ben Gordon is a very creative scorer. He can take anyone off the dribble, score inside and is a fantastic shooter. He can also score in the clutch. I would love to have him on the Houston Rockets.
With Garnett they instantly turn into contenders: PG: Kirk Hinrich SG: Err... pick up Bonzi Wells SF: Gay PF: Garnett C: Chandler
I think they will have to give up quite a lot for KG ,eg the 2nd pick,Gordon,Chandler and perhaps more. I would retain their players and try to add players from the draft and free agency.
I agree. I really think this deal is about the most realistic and the one that minesota would likely do. Chicago Bulls fans are great as well - it will be a great marriage. Though I would hate to lose Deng if I were Chicago, he will be needed to make the trade work. If Minesota would prefer Gordon (which is very conceivable), Chicago would likely ask for McCants in return. Garnet is due $20M, $22M and $24M the next three seasons repectively. So to make a workable deal, Chicago will have to give out a lot to match KG's $20M salary fro the 2006/2007 season. Factoring the fact that Chandler is a BYC player, the 125% plus $100,00 kicks in. So players like Sweetney, Nocioni will need to be added to Chandler, Deng and lottery pick in order to make it work financially. The interesting thing is that Chicago only has 6 players under contract for next season and Duhon and Songaila (player option) cannot be traded because the restrictions on them. It will be wise imho for Minesota to jump on this deal if Chicago comes calling.
Agreed. They really don't need anymore young players and the #2 pick was basically a gift from Zeke. If I were the Bulls, I would shop the pick. I don't see anyone at #2 that could really help them. Deng + Gordon + #2 Pick for KG would be a good deal for both teams, even though it doesn't work financially. Chicago: Hinrich Duhon Nocioni KG Chandler Minni: Gordon McCants Deng Aldridge? Thomas? EG * Even though it doesn't look that great on paper, that is a young team w/ a lot of talent. A Gordon/McCants backcourt would be extremely short however.
If you add all 7 or 8 elligible trade assets Chicago has plus their draft picks (without adding Chandler), I am not sure the trade will work financially. Lets check it out Chicago Bulls contracts starting from 2006/2007 season going on down respectfully...(Duhon cannot be traded without his consent until after August 6, 2006. Songaila cannot be traded until he picks up his option). That leaves us with only 6 bulls players that we know we can use in a trade scenario. Code: Tyson Chandler (signed new contract starting off at around $10M per) Ben Gordon = $3,862,080 - $4,881,669 - $6,404,749 Chris Duhon = $3,024,000 - $3,248,000 Andres Nocioni = $3,030,000 Luol Deng = $2,614,440 - $3,320,338 - $4,452,574 Kirk Hinrich = $3,064,916 - $4,110,052 Darius Songaila = ($2,400,000) Mike Sweetney = $2,696,956 - $3,654,375 Othella Harrington = ~$3,024,000 .... Edie Basden = (Minimum) Malik Allen = (2 years left starting around $2M) (team option included) Without adding Chandler in the deal, Chicago will be gutted - they may only have KG, Chandler, Basden and 2 or 3 more players to work with next season if my estimates is correct. That is regression. So including Chandler will help balance the financial scale of a deal so that it can be a win-win for both sides.
