I didn't think anyone could be more of a "drama queen" than Mark Cuban but hey! I could be wrong...

Yah, Will is just baffling me with his constant Yao bashing. I understand if someone is disappointed in that he thinks Yao should be a better player by now, but to say what he said was absolutely rediculous, dishonest, and impossible to prove or backup with facts.

The thing is, Will, what would you suggest be done about Yao? Would you rather we stick with him until he develops into the player you like? Or do you accept that he might not be the "dominant" Center you want him to be (alas Shaq or Hakeem type)? Or, finally, would you rather that the Rockets explore trade possibilities for a Kevin Garnett or another dominant big man to pair with McGrady?

I just don't understand what you want, Will.

Oh, BTW, if you see "Jeff" around, tell him congrats on being spot-on in his pre-series evaluation that declared the Rockets' bench as superior to the Mav's bench, giving the Rockets the edge there. I would like to know what was he smoking when he said that;)

I just have a "gut" feeling that we will be seeing SOMEHOW in the next few years Kobe/Garnett together with the Lakers. If that happens, we are all in deep ****

good to know i'm not the only one with that feeling. it just seems the lakers always get superstars to L.A. and the most prominent guy not satisfied with his situation is garnett. but i don't know what LA has to give.

oh, and that may have been one of the stupidest articles i've ever read in my life, and i've read many Chad Ford articles.

Fire the reporter - Keep the coach.

What I marvel at is what he got out of this team. We are the oldest, slowest, least athletic team in the league and he got this team to win 51 games and the 5th seed in the West. Nuff said.

5/1: “I said before the playoffs even began that the Rockets will NEVER win anything until Yao is at the ansolute prime of his career and plays with the kind of consistency that eliminates any guessing game his teammates/coach have to play before every game as to which Yao will show up. Until then, this team is going nowhere, even with T-Mac playing as unbelievably great as he is playing so far in this series, it is too much to ask of one person to do it at every end of the floor and be a PG and still have enough energy to make the clutch shots at the end.”

5/5: “But WTF is up with Yao and FTs?!!! He cost the last game because of the 5 missed FT in a row . . ."

Yeah, I'm a Yao-bashing liar for saying T-Mac carried the whole load in this series. And that Jeff, he's a real idiot.

    Very silly article.

People forget the Gundy took a Knicks team lacking Patrick Ewing and guided by Latrell Sprewell all the way to the finals.

And people forget that this Houston team has no one on note after Yao or McGrady - I mean, who has trade value after these two guys? Maybe Mutombo, who has REVITALIZED his career under gundy.

In fact, it seems there's a long list of players who have improved under Gundy...

    For instance -

Tmac is finally playing like a young Jordon - including D
Yao is better, if not stil great
Barry, and Sura are certainly not playing poorly.
MJ is unleashed compared to what he was doing in Milwaukee...
    Deke already mentioned.
And who else could get anything out of Bowen?

Sad that people knock on Gundy just because he was hated by Phil.

idiot Smith. TMac finally playing like Jordan in his early years? He did that before in Orlando. He was finally playing like a mid-career Jordan during this series.. that was what Smith was going for I hope

Phil Jackson's been known to float a few ideas to the media about spots he "might" be a good fit with. All the other team that he's being linked to, Cleveland, LA, Minn, New York, didn't even make the playoffs.....this would be a major step up from where those team are. Considering the way the team and the fans rallying around JVG with the 100K fine, no way Phil's coming here next.

Whoever wrote this is a moron.

I really like JVG, but I'd take Phil over him anyday.

Now it's even more funnier. No one argued that Yao was perfect. No one argued that if Yao would have played better Rockets might have won the series. Some fans disagreed that Yao was not one of the best 5 in the series.

Rockets extended the series to 7 games. By your statement above, Rockets would have won the series by swapping Yao to one of FOUR Mav players. Which 4 are they? Dirk? Terry? Finley? Stack? Howard? So Deke/Bowen/Tmac/Terry or Finley or Stack or Howard/Sura would have defected Yao/Dirk plus dallas supporting cast?

Hatred not only makes one blind, it makes one look silly. :D
