You haven't seen it because Carlos Boozer cannot be amnestied until after the July Moratorium, or after July 9th.
I think he's due to make $16,800,000.00 2014/15. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/chicago.htm Had a question. So if we can sign him for say the vet minimum of around 1.5M, does that mean he makes he makes the above PLUS 1.5M or that he still makes $16.8M but Rockets pay him 1.5M and the Bulls the rest? Thanks.
when mehmet kept going to the three point line and nailing every single one. We adjusted by having yao guard boozer if i remember correctly.
From what I understand: If he is picked up by another team off of waivers. Then the amount that the new team "bid" to get Carlos Boozer would be subtracted from his 16.8 million dollar salary. If he clears waivers then the Bulls owe him that entire salary themselves.

Thanks for the info. It could suck (for him) if he has no choice and just has to go to the highest bidder. He could end up at the Cavs or somewhere bad like that
Don't think this has anything to do with Melo....they are just clearing room...it could be for Melo, Lance or any other FA.
From what I read about L Deng's impressions of his stay there, it's v disharmonious in the locker room. Didnt sound like a v nice place to be or a nice team to play for. And KIrving, in my opinion, is overrated. A good player, but not max good.
True, but that isn't what he said. Boozer shredded Yao by nailing jumpers, not defending him. Yao put up his normal 25/10 that series despite not being fully recovered from his injury. Utah having both a C and PF that could shoot from outside made Yao a big liability on defense. But Boozer had no hope of slowing Yao down. That is a joke.
I dont understand how any rockets fan can want freakin carlos boozer on this team...its just.. some of ya'll need jesus.
I think this is a ploy from Chicago to show Carmelo that that the owner is serious about making capspace. no way it's real
I might be hardheaded or in extreme denial but I still can't see Reinsdorf doing this even for Carmelo. $15 for Carmelo $16 for Boozer That's $31 million he's essentially paying for Carmelo's first season...not including any luxury tax hit he'll have to pay at the end of the season unless they move players like they did this past seasons to get under the threshold. Which then brings up another point: They would have 8 players taking up about $68 million dollars including Carmelo and amnestying Boozer. That means they would have, what, the MLE to spend among 7 other players?

Oh lord. I have a sinking feeling that my disgust with how this off-season has progressed has yet to reach rock bottom. I thought just maybe that it had.
